The retreat space that I needed.
Pros:

I love this property. It is small and intimate yet my space was grand. I loved the large patio with basically your dining room and living room outdoors. Complete with a hammock. The patio was in the shade all day, which is perfect in the heat of Puerto Escondido. The interior space is large as well. The floors, walls and ceiling are concrete keeping the space cool and there are plenty of operable windows. Two sets of doors with screens fully open up the space. The air conditioner does work well if desired. Large shower with hot water and good quality, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
The king bed was super comfortable with 4 king size pillows.
All of the units come with kitchens that are well equipped. The fridge is large and has a freezer and is equipped with pots pans and tableware. They provide to glass crafes to refill with bottled water that’s just in the main hallway. One on each level.
The outdoor space is lush with plenty of vegetation. The pool is a decent size and about 5 feet deep to get a nice cool off. The pool is fully shaded in the later afternoon.
The staff are so pleasant. They are around if you need any assistance but really let you do your own thing. They clean the room daily and there’s also someone there overnight.

Cons:

I had the noisiest neighbors. They yell at you to let you know that the sun might rise! I loved them. One of the charms of La Punta is all of the chickens and roosters. If you are a light sleeper and like the windows open, you will definitely hear them.

Paradise
Pros:

I felt like I was in paradise!

There’s nothing like waking up and having your morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool. The rooms were neat and very clean, the terrace was spacious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.

The location is perfect: very close to the beach and the area with bars and restaurants, yet far enough to enjoy a peaceful and quiet corner.

They also helped me get a great deal to rent an ACT motorbike, which made exploring the area even easier.

It was really sad to leave this place. Next time I’m in Puerto Escondido, I will definitely stay here again!

Overall pleasant stay at Casa Marisa
Pros:

The room size was great and felt spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the terrace, which was nicely equipped with a sofa and a large table — perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Water coolers are available on the property, which we found very practical and convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they kindly assisted us in calling a taxi for our departure day.

Cons:

We would recommend booking a sea view room rather than a city view room. Our room overlooked a dusty little road and an aluminum fence, which wasn’t particularly pleasant. The terrace is also not fully separated from the stair landing and the neighboring terrace, so privacy is somewhat limited. The bathroom did not have a door, which may be important for some guests to know. Additionally, roosters (and dogs) tend to wake you up quite early in the morning — something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper.

Good location, clean room. More airbnb than hotel feel

It’s really quiet so is very peaceful with little noise but a quick walk to the beach and all the restaurants. The pool area is lovely to relax in

Cons:

If you don’t choose a pool view or garden room, the terrace looks over the dirt road and it’s not particularly nice to sit on. This is not very clear from the site. This is definitely not a hotel so help with anything like laundry or transfers wasn’t possible. I felt it was a little expensive given there were hotels with big pools for similar prices in the area. That said, it was a perfectly comfortable stay.

Un bel endroit, les photos sont totalement en accord avec la réalité.

La qualité du bâtiment et des chambres. La sobriété des matériaux et la justesse de la décoration. La petite taille de l’établissement. Le jardin, la végétation et la piscine.

Cons:

Le service de taxi recommandé par l’hôtel jusqu’à l’aéroport : il était soit disant possible de payer par carte mais cela n’a finalement pas été possible. Le prix de la course était déjà cher pour la région, il a fallut que nous sortions du liquide une fois arrivée à l’aéroport ce qui a augmenté le prix de la course de 30%.

It’s a beautiful property but they just aren’t lucky with the neighbors.
Pros:

The location was great. Walking distance to the main area. The room was pretty and spacious. The large terrace with pool view was beautiful.

Cons:

Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful terrace at all bc the neighbors were burning trash all day long and I was there a week so it wasn’t just a one off. I know it’s out of Casa Marisa’s control but It smelled so bad we couldn’t be outside. There are dogs near by that barks all the time. And I’m not sure why there’s no door to the bathroom/toilet- so easy to fix…The staff was fine but not super helpful sometimes- I had to ask for clean beach towels after 4 days and waited 2 days to get them.
Not a big deal at all but it would benefit from extra lights around the bed.

Great pool, good location
Pros:

Great location. Clean. Great pool. Lovely hammocks in terrace. Kitchen is basic but useful. Pool towels provided. Initially I didn't have hot water but they quickly fixed it. Overall the standard was very high and it was a great place to stay.. Really quiet and relaxing.

Cons:

Late checkout is somewhat expensive, (I was quoted about two thirds of the price of a full night just for 8 hours extra, but they were willing to negotiate a little).
