The surroundings, cottage walks and peace.
High Dalby House was a beautiful and welcoming property. Linda and Ian are exceptional hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast selection was absolutely amazing and the setting is idyllic. We felt so comfortable and at home that we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back. A bit difficult to find especially at night.

Bathroom although private, was across the hallway.
Breakfast was stupendous! The grounds are absolutely stunning with a huge amount of work and money having been invested to make this a really lovely place to stay. The hosts are a lovely couple and we were made to feel very much at home. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully appointed.
Not staying longer! The location is great for visiting North Yorkshire, we just didn't have long enough to do it justice. Hopefully we will take the opportunity to return at some point.

Ian and Linda have a fantastic retreat and are perfect hosts. The gardens and grounds are out of this world. The room was perfect as was the choice of breakfast on offer. We took our two dogs and they were really well catered for. I think the dogs enjoyed themselves as much as we did! Really hope to stay again at some point.
There was nothing not to like it was perfect.
The location in the forest is so peaceful and beautiful. Having the extensive and magnificent gardens with well thought out areas for retreat, rest and relaxation together with opportunities for spiritual reflection made this venue an exceptional find. The hosts were friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to ensure a wonderful stay.
A perfect cottage nestled in the most tranquil, idyllic grounds, a little slice of paradise in the heart of Dalby Forest. It truly doesn’t get much better than this.

The property is stunning in the most beautiful area, the land is vast with a beautiful garden,waterways and woodlands full of birds, Ian and Linda were perfect hosts looking after us improbably with a pot of tea and warm scones on our arrival the breakfast was delicious
