The Z Hotel Strand

The rooms are compact, to say the least, but that is the only drawback to this hotel. Even though the rooms are not large, they are well-designed making optimum use of space (get the largest room available).

The hotel is well-maintained, and the location could not be better. Steps from Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, two major tube stations and multiple theatres.

Best of all though, is the staff. From the clerks at the front desk to the housekeepers to the baristas, you could not ask for a more attentive, hard-working, and accommodating group. I don’t know if management appreciates how amazing this team is, but they must for they work together like a caring family.

You will find more spacious accommodations with fancier accoutrements nearby (The Savoy is a stone’s throw away) but you won’t find a better group of people committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible.

We stayed here as it was in a convenient location to come back to after a day out in London. The staff on reception were friendly and very helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable.

The Hotel has a great location: close to theaters tube access, river access, and within walking distance to good food and museums.
The bed was comfortable to sleep in and the bathroom was adequate to the tasks. The staff was helpful and friendly.
However the room was tiny. There was nowhere to open a suitcase except on the bed. There was only enough access room to the bed for one person, so the partner had to climb over the other when entering or exiting if not done in sequence.
The photo on my invoice and the one representing the room I booked was not even close to what we received. When I confronted management about this there was the lame excuse that I should have booked the "Access" room and then gave me a card for the standard 10% discount should I wan to book Z in future. I don't see that in our future.

Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. There was a crib in the room for us and they stored our milk and food for the baby. We would definitely recommend and stay again

I've stayed at another location of the Z Hotel in London before and had an equally wonderful time. The rooms are small, but the service is LARGE! Every interaction with the desk staff was pleasant and completely genuine in their effort to assist. I'll definitely be back!

The beds were terribly uncomfortable for the price that was paid. Told staff and I was told they could put a duvet on it so assuming they get this often. When you turn over, you literally hit the bed frame. It was ridiculous.

Ideal hotel for busy stay in London where all you need is somewhere to sleep. Rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable and the hotel location is perfect

Great for a cost effective option in a good area. Perfect for my solo trip. Clean room and comfortable bed. Just what I was looking for.

Really friendly check in. I upgraded to a bigger room which was still really small. Nice clean and modern.

Room was very clean and location was right in the heart of everything. The room is very small. I would equate it to a boat bunker. It’s unfortunate because they are getting a lot of money for such a small space. Feel cheated.

Rooms very small had to get the second room changed as it only had enough space to stand in no room to put case in room

The rooms are not suited for two guests. It was way too small and there just isn’t anything in the room.

Modern hotel tucked behind a bank. Close to tube, shops, restaurants, National Museum. A lot of homeless sleeping in doorways 100 feet away.

Fab hotel. Quick and easy check-in. Room was available early. Was offered free cheese and wine night. Room was clean and well organised. It was compact but had everything we needed and plenty of space for two. FANTASTIC LOCATION! Super quiet.
