Aranya Vilas - A Nature Resort

Breakfast was delicious... superb place ... value for money.

Huge property with lots of trees and nature in all its abundance. It’s so cool inside the property as well. The tents are a good experience. Loved the food here as well. Service is exceptional. Location is quite central to most things such as city palace and Pichola lake.

Excellent stay for 3 days at Aranya vilas, The property is very near to major attractions and it is surrounded by lush greenery and clean atmosphere.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Aranya Vilas , Udaipur. The location of the property is superb as it is well connected with major tourist attractions. The City palace and Lake Pichola are just at a stone's throw.
The place is green and peaceful. Our luxury villas were spacious,clean and comfortable.
For the convenience of my super senior mother, we were given villas opposite to the restaurant. On request they also provided us with a wheelchair throughout our stay.
It was my brother's birthday so they sent us a complimentary pastry size cake which was really appreciated. Food was good and they customised it for us too.
The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful.
I would like to specially thank Ms.Kusum (front desk) Sukhu, Sangeeta, Devi Lal, Harkesh, Kanta and Kamlesh, who made our stay comfortable and cherishable.
A few suggestions - they can improve the area at the backside of the villas. The height of the WCs was quite low making it difficult without the grab bar specially for senior citizens. As the resort is built quite recently they could have better facilities like handwash, shower gel and shampoo dispensers. To give a natural look to the resort, lights are very dim at night and gets totally dark after 12.00 am making it difficult to move around. Some extra light was needed in the rooms too. Food has scope for improvement. Specially it needs to be warmer at breakfast time.

I loved the decoration cause it’s done by natural way no artificial decorative material materials. It was superb decoration done by this two staff member.

I wish I could give 0 star. Especially to the unprofessional GM of the hotel. Who doesn't know how to speak with customer and have not courtesy.

If you want to book using positive review go ahead but read this if you think you can ignore following by paying premium rates go ahead:
1. No privacy in the room. All rooms are located on walk way path, there are only few in front of gardens. So if you open a window which is in front of bed, and bathroom everything visible to people walking outside. There is not even privacy blinds installed in window to get the day light. So All the time keep the curtains close and live in room lights without fresh air.

2. Staff are not trained properly. Very poor restaurant service, they don't even care to close the gates to avoid flies. hardly 1-2 people to serve during pick breakfast time and that too not trained. tables are not cleaned after one guest completes the breakfast, trash below the table. So its terrible experience.

3. The so called GM of the hotel. Not seen any GM likes this in premium hotel, who doesn't allow customer to speak and keeps on arguing and do unprofessional behavior. Doesn't care to compliment the customer if anything is missing on their end.

4. Restaurant is having very limited food option and that to very costly, it may cost around Rs.500 per person to have dinner.

5. Doesn't have golf cart to go to the room.

6. Unwelcoming check in and checkout

7. They charge 40-50% higher than MRP charges for the snacks provided in room, which they can't charge.

8. Only provide one room key, so if you have kids and once they sleep if you want to room around you can't as you have to call the reception to unlock the door.

9. Many booking portal that they provide rs.500 food voucher but you can only redeem if you bill goes about Rs.2500 so again hidden terms and cheat.

10. Not a decent swimming pool

For me it was not worth it except the palace and lake pichola was near by so we don't had to travel far.

I stayed at Aranya Vilas, Udaipur in first of week of October 2025, and had a fantastic experience overall. I booked the Bath Tub Villa, and it truly lived up to expectations.

The location is a major plus – centrally situated, with all major sightseeing spots just a short auto ride away at minimal fares. It made getting around the city very convenient.
Ex. City Palace, Karni Matha temple, Hathi Pol, Lok Dharohar - is in the same premises

The property was clean, well-maintained, and peaceful, lot of space for kids to run around. What stood out most was the excellent service – the staff were consistently courteous and attentive. Special thanks to Amber and Sukhu, who made the stay even more comfortable with their warm hospitality and helpful attitude.

Honestly, I had no complaints – everything was well managed.

I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Aranya Vilas to anyone looking for a comfortable and centrally located stay in Udaipur.

We stayed for 4 nights in this resort. As name suggests it gives feel like staying in Aranya. Lot of trees around. Group of monkeys wandering around. Individual huts are beautiful. Size is big. It feels nice to just walk around in the resort. Location is very good. City palace/ Lake is just walking distance away. Food was okay.

Best experience..... Staff members Harkesh, Kamlesh and Kanta were really helpful during the stay.... Food was awesome and the ambience is nice. The Front Desk Executive Kusum was also very supportive .... Gym and play area was well maintained

Very good experience with Staff specially with Mr. Ramesh and Mr. Mahipal. Neat and clean rooms and nice ambience. And most of the site seeing places are nearby walkable distance.

It was my wife's birthday for which I have decided to choose aranya villas for stay ....it's beyond my expectations
Harkesh and kamlesh decorated our room very beautifully , just see the pictures.
I suggest all of you to give a chance to this villa and experience the touch of nature .
