No wine bottle opener

The pictures I looked at before making the booking was misleading - The unit I viewed had a big decent shower - the unit I got when I arrived, I could not stand up straight in the shower. The shower head was dirty and spewed water everywhere. The main bedroom did not have a shower, only the guest bedroom. The floors were filthy!! I walked around after my initial shower and my feet were pitch black. The linen was clean and smelled good. The view was great. The phone in our room did not work. I had issues with parking as the front desk told me they ran out of parking tags to use the elevator. We had to use the guest elevator then walk past front desk and use another elevator to get to our floor. Lack of decent restaurants / coffee.

The kitchen was not well equipped. We were four persons in a two bedroom apartment. We only had three water glasses and spoons. The table in the kitchen did not have space enough for four persons sitting around it. The traffic from Somerset Rd was very noisy and for some people that might be a problem.

My fast charger somehow disappeared one day. The cables were left but the charger head was one day gone - and I used that charger everyday. Management rightly pointed out I have no evidence to accuse anyone of theft, however, we checked the whole apartment upon checkout and also upon arriving at home, and my charger is still missing. I travel half the year for work, so I know what gear I take and where I put them - this has never, ever happened before in years of business travel, so you can do the math. I also have another problem with the cleaning staff (who may or may not have stolen my charger). The property tells you that the room will be cleaned daily, but in reality this did not happen. About half the days we stayed there the cleaning staff actually cleaned the room - the other half of the time our room was not touched (except the charger). We would leave in the morning for sightseeing and return in the late afternoon (4 to 5pm) and 5 minutes after arriving back the cleaner would come and ask if we wanted our room cleaned. Of course we did not at that time because we were tired and just wanted to rest, but the fact that you had the whole day to clean and didn't touch our room is laughable. I have never experienced such service before. After the first day, it seemed the cleaning staff thought they could get away with not cleaning our room so for the second half of the week she would just turn up right after we returned to the property and do the same thing - we would turn her away and she would have one less room to clean. Either gross mismanagement of time/resources, or she was just incredibly lazy. I don't know which is worse. If you stay here, be sure to put all your valuables in the safe or lock them up somehow everyday (probably a given in Cape Town anyway)...but I told management there's only so much I can fit in the safe. I will not be coming back to this property and will not recommend this establishment to anyone I know.

Since Totalstay took over much has Gone Down. Frustrating getting from -2 parking to your floor....needing to use 2 different lifts. No hot water at bathroom basin. Worse shower head EVER...Had a 1 hour AC service while in apartment 😕 to find it still leaking water after. No staff sent to clean after the mess they made.

Die Klimaanlage war unerträglich laut, das Bad klein, nur mit Badewanne ausgestattet, was für Menschen mit Behinderung problematisch sein kann, und das Bett „knarrte“ beim Umdrehen. Für so eine großzügige Wohnung fand ich den Esstisch einfach zu klein.

Our room was above the pub, the petrol station and the restaurants and was very noisy at times during the night

The apartment was not fully clean when we arrived. The trash from the previous occupant was still in the kitchen and the whole apartment and bathrooms were only cleaned superficially. We raised it with the staff who then sent in a team to clean up. The staff was very helpful though.

There were many problems using the entry system to the apartment block. There were broken cupboards, mould in the bathrooms, balc9ny door would not lock, missing crockey and the fridge was not able yo keep things cold. Effectively there has been little maintenence of the apartments. The staff seemed unable to provide a solution to any problems
