The Pear Tree Inn & Country Hotel

We were initially swayed by the ample parking. However, we were very pleased with the friendly welcome. The room was clean and well appointed. A nice bar and great Indian style restaurant, with delicious food completed the package.

Stayed for 1 night, room was clean and comfortable. We didn't eat while at the hotel, so cannot review food.

Nice quiet location, clean room. Only complaint was bed was way too hard, some may like it though

The drawers in the bedroom were dirty, especially where the hairdryer is kept - full of coffee stains and hair. When you closed the bathroom door the corner of the room was full of someone else's bodyhair. The room also had an overpowering smell of Jeyes fluid.

When we arrived we rang the bell several times and no one came. Then had to ring the hotel to have a lady arrive. She was lovely but the service was very slow waiting before she arrived. The hotel from the outside was stunning but the inside needs refurbishing. The room itself was pretty looking but the air con was broken, no fan, no iron, no hairdryer and there was lipstick on the mirror. There was an open bin in the bathroom (could really do with a pedal closed one.) The shower gel etc was lovely but the bathroom was a little run down and the shower curtain needed replacing.
It just needs a bit of a refurb (the wires were hanging out from beneath the TV, the radiator was all scuffed up and the walls needed a paint really.) Overall it was an ok stay but I wouldn't say it was value for money.

Beds were comfortable and clean. The decor was tired and needed updating.

Friendly and quick check in. Easy parking and beautiful location. Amazing and well priced food available which they delivered to my room.

the restaurant offered any one type of food, therefore had to drive a couple miles to a different location.

The breakfast was very poor, we had to pre-order the night before including the time, still had to wait another 20 minutes, every seemed to be deep fat fried.

Found quite a bit of hair in the bathroom. Just being honest. Long May the hotel continue.

Was ideal for my needs..

Restaurant was closed on a Monday. Gutted I was. But had food from just eat. Have room service for my breakfast no extra charge. Defo stay again when restaurant is open defo. Lovely food here and staff lovely

The room was dirty and i had a fly buzz into my ear.. bathroom was dirty and had hair in the bath and hair on the bed

Comfortable enough but quite dated and limited choice of food, but if you like Curry then very tasty.

The hotel was ok, that’s about it. Extremely dated, very cold in the building with the smell of both damp and Indian food.

The rooms on arrival were clean but freezing and the heating system is outdated ineffective.

This being said, for a clean place to say with low expectations, it’s fine
