The Canopy Krabi

Very poor service. We travelled around Thailand for almost 3 weeks and this is the worst service we received, in this price range.

We stayed 4 nights/ 5 days and they never even emptied the trash outside our room which was overflowing.

We stayed in the family room which was basic. The main bed was very hard, it's just a plank of wood really. Upstairs, it was just a mattress on the floor. The ladder is up straight and it's high, so be aware if you're afraid of heights.

Staff ignored us the entire stay, even when we would say hello and nobody speak English. Reception always closed earlier then expected.

The hotel is far from all the tourist attractions (45 min walk minimum), so make sure you download the Grab app to get around at the best price.

The swimming pool was disgusting. The ladder was so greasy it was hard to get a proper grip to get out.

Based on the photos we thought it would be nice to stay somewhere quiet with a pool, but based on our experience, we should have stayed elsewhere.

Our stay at this place was disappointing. On our first night, we found a cockroach in the bed, which was completely unacceptable. The bedsheets, bath towels weren’t changed daily, and there were mosquitoes everywhere.

The property is rundown and is in a local housing area where many places are still closed off, and wild animals like mountain cats can easily wander in. This made us feel very unsafe, especially as we were traveling with young kids.

On top of that, the price they charged was way too high for what we got, and there wasn’t even breakfast included. It’s hard to believe a place in such poor condition is still operating and charging guests.

We definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here. They really need to improve their hospitality skills, fix the maintenance issues, control the pests, and make the place safer.
