Cons:

Overall the apartment looked fairly clean at first, and the location worked well for our weekend in Edinburgh. However, several issues had a real impact on comfort. The dishwasher was dirty and all the available dishes and cutlery were unclean, so we had to wash everything ourselves before we could use it. The kitchen was also very minimally equipped (no bowls and only two shallow plates), which made self-catering difficult. The toilet wasn’t properly clean, and there was mould in the shower. The duvet was very low quality and uneven, with empty patches, which wasn’t comfortable for sleeping. In addition, the coffee machine was broken. The kettle was not usable at all because there were visible remnants of herbal tea (including herbs/residue) left inside and it had a strong odour. We also found an opened bottle of Irn-Bru in the fridge, it looked like it had been opened subtly but it was still full, which didn’t feel particularly reassuring.
We tried reaching out to the team/property management several times, but we couldn’t get a response and no one answered the phone, which was disappointing given the issues.

A lovely mid week break in a very pleasant, comfortable apartment
Pros:

Great location for our visit to the Lyceum Theatre and the Castle.
Very comfortable

Cons:

The crockery was either insufficient or damaged. But apart from that it was well equipped pan and cooking utensils wise.

Excellent!
Pros:

The location was excellent, just 2 mins to the Grassmarket and walking distance to all other central attractions. The apartment was clean and fresh with lovely fixtures and fittings.
