Wonderful, highly recommend.
Pros:

Highly, highly recommend. Paid for the view of the marina, and it was totally worth it. The bed is oriented so that you look out on the water. You get to watch ferries float by, and a cruise ship pull up right outside your window as it repositions itself to park on the other side of the bay. Fun to watch. The rooms are small but well-maintained. The breakfast was fantastic. The lobby hosts a cafe, where you can get a coffee or glass of wine and walk out the back door to the water. Just a great experience, will be excited to come back.

Perfect just perfect for a short to medium long stay
Pros:

This a brand new (we were there feb 26) hotel. Its a largely wooden building in truly Finnish design style. At the reception we got offered an upgraded room with sea view for a reduced price. This is something you should treat yourself with, the ships are right in front of your windows. The staf is friendly and helpful overall, compliments for their English. The breakfast is beyond the regular eggs and sausages with a wide selection of healthy options including smoothies. The location is convenient as well with access to the ferry to Suomenlinna and a tramstop nearby as well as multiple grocery stores and restaurants.

Cons:

Best to be enjoyed in summer but that would count for Helsink in general

Neues Hotel am Südhafen
Pros:

Das neue, für seine Architektur preisgekrönte Hotel weckt hohe Erwartungen. Nach der pompösen Eingangshalle wird es aber eher enttäuschend. Die Grundrissform generiert überwiegend Räume ohne attraktive Sicht.
Natürlich ist alles neu und sauber. Der Empfang freundlich. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr ansprechend, das angebotene Frühstück überdurchschnittlich. Die Lage im März bei zugefrorenem Hafenbecken und wenig Tourismus mässig attraktiv.

Cons:

Die Hotelzimmer sind schmal, dafür hoch. Die aussen schlanken Fassaden-Lamellen sind im Innern gewaltig verdickt, sodass der Ausblick sehr reduziert ist, vor allem auch seitwärts. Dies spielt aber keine Rolle, weil durch die unverständliche Raumeinteilung das nachttischlose Bett direkt an die Glasfront geschoben ist, Füsse voraus. Eine Querwand hinter dem Bett mit Sitzbank mit dem Rücken zur Aussicht und ein kleiner Schreibtisch ebenfalls mit dem Rücken zur Aussicht ergänzen das Angebot. Wer fernsehen will, muss den Kopf um 90 Grad drehen, vom Bett aus unmöglich. Der happige Zuschlag für Sicht auf das Wasser lohnt sich also nicht.
Im Erdgeschoss verhindert ein gefängnisartiger hoher Zaun den direkten Zugang zum Wasser.
Dass es sich um einen reinen Holzbau handelt, ist nicht überall spürbar.
