The staff was amazing. We left and item behind and they promptly sent it back without issue!
No direct lake access
We had the lakeside suite. The view was exceptional!!! Watching the sunrise and sunset over the water was great
My wife and I had an absolutely fabulous time at the Wave!! We appreciate how warm, welcoming, and accommodating the entire team there at The Wave is.
The staff really care about their guests and enjoy being there! They pay attention to details and the little things that make their guests feel special! They went out of their way to surprise my wife on the day it was her birthday! I have never stayed at a place where the staff went out of their way like that!! They're a great team!!
The rooms are spacious, clean.
and really comfortable!!
And the food at The Wave restaurant was fantastic!! We enjoyed both a special dinner and a delicious breakfast to start our day.
The views of the lakes are awesome. We saw some spectacular sunrises out our suite window!
If you're going to be in Marblehead or in the area I highly, highly recommend staying at The Wave!!
NOTHING!!
Beautiful location right on the lake, stunning sunrise, food was delicious in the restaurant. Hotel was really top end, comfortable, great toiletries...couldn't fault this place!
Staff were great. Very responsive. Across the street from the lake. Nice restaurant on the grounds.
Restaurant, not much for vegetarians. Would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Had to get dressed and go downstairs to get first cup of coffee. Not much room in the bathroom to set anything down. Safe didn’t work.
The resort staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming — they truly made me feel seen and valued throughout my stay. The entire property was spotless and beautifully updated, with stunning amenities that added to the overall experience. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for comfort, care, and a touch of luxury!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at the Wave. Beautiful hotel and area, super friendly and helpful people, and a very pretty and comfortable spacious room. Would definitely stay again if we’re in the area. Highly recommend!!
The hotel room, amenities, bar, and restaurant were all wonderful.
The front desk staff were not friendly and borderline rude. I returned towels to the front desk after using them at the pool. I asked her to please make note on my account that they were turned in. I made this request because their was a statement when I picked them up that there that there would be charged to the room if they were not returned. She said, "I'll do it later" as she walked off. Rude!
Safe, beautiful, definitely going back
Fantastic poolside happy hour and great onsite restaurant.
The decor of this property was very nice - bright hallways, very clean. Kind of Scandinavian decor. Staff was friendly. It was very convenient to the places we wanted to go and is right across the street from Lake Erie.
The downside for us is that we are in our 70s the beds were on low platforms which made it harder to get in and out of the bed, and the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, but had no countertop or shelves to put toiletries on. We did not eat at the facility. They only have brunch on weekends, so we went in town to a place called Latitudes for a very nice breakfast. When we asked where a gas station was, no one seemed to know, which we thought was very strange. We had to travel about 7 miles to find one in Port Clinton.
This is a beautiful hotel with great views of the water. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The decor was perfect. We liked that we could walk to the lighthouse :)The TV had great reception and wi-fi was good too. Cell phone service was a little sketchy because of the area. We would have liked snack options up front. We did not eat at the Hotel, but it does have a beautiful restaurant.
The property had a great view of the lake. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool was great and there were places on the property to just sit and visit.
Loved the gym and equipment! Pool was great. The service was EXCELLENT!
Hotel location perfect, really cute boutique hotel, restaurant and lounge great. Food was excellent, room atmosphere great. Bathroom hard to use to get ready in and extra mirror had no plugs near, if the had switched where pics on wall with the mirror much easier. Check in smooth though a hiccup with door code. Overall it was a great stay.
The Wave is an amazing location. The entire hotel was clean and had many options for what to do. Workout facility, pool, bar and restaurant were superb. Would definitely recommend as well as book again.
The Wave was amazing. Perfect hotel for a girl's weekend getaway. Great location. Cocktails by the firepit and lake.
The hotel and surrounding property are just beautiful. Very clean and tidy. View is spectacular. All members of staff were very pleasant and friendly.
What I did not like were the following:
1. There is no traditional “front desk” staff AND there are no telephones in the room. I find it dangerous not to have a way to call a front desk in an emergency!!! I don’t mind doing all the registration work myself on line before hand, but there should at least be a reliable way to get a front desk person.
2. The rooms while beautiful and minimalist, they were not at all functional. There is absolutely NOWHERE to put a thing in the bathrooms. Nowhere to fix your hair because there’s no place to plug a curling iron. There is an isolated mirror beside the door but it is hung too high and again, not a shelf or a table to set your make up on to apply it.
3. No full length mirror in the room. We were there for a dressy affair, but no place to check your appearance.
4. For the top dollar prices, there were ZERO amenities included and no reliably available person to help you. No coffee maker in the room and no decent coffee in the lobby for guests. The coffee in 2 carafes was very strong. ( one was empty) The poor bartender was working like crazy trying to attend to everything. He very kindly found someone to check us out at the faux front desk. Any small bakery items for breakfast? No way. They have brunch you can stay for that begins at 11am which of course is expensive.
Amazing service and a great getaway spot
Although short, I enjoyed my stay at The Wave. It was a very pretty, modern property and had a great restaurant on site. Most of the front desk staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The view was nice. I wish I could have enjoyed the pool. The hotel is a few miles away from the “downtown” part with stores and restaurants which I would have loved to go see if I was in town longer. But overall a very nice stay and I’d stay there again if I was in the area.
