Great hotel spot in a very good location to the old quarter of Hanoi. We booked last night after a sleeper bus but wasn’t an issue for us as the room was ready for us on arrival. There is no elevator in the property, however this wasn’t much of an issue as Andy and another staff member helped us up & down the stairs with our luggage. They were both so friendly and would definitely stay again.

They overcharged me for early check in, while the room was empty and ready

Cons:

Property dint have elevator, very big stairs for 4 & 5 floor.
I feel blackmailed for asking earlier check in..
I prior message them that i will not stay a night we are just in transit for 15 hours please give us early check in.

When i get there they asked me for extra money for early check in, more than half of the room price,
That time i feel blackmailed because the situation was pay extra or go somewhere else. At last moment where would i found another hotel with kids so i paid extra money

Pros:

The location was great, central and close to all main sights. The room was very big and clean plus the beds were comfortable. But most importantly the staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming! They even gave us rain covers during a heavy rain storm before checking out. I’d definitely come back anytime!

Pros:

The location is excellent within the old quarter and Andy is fantastic. He was so accommodating with us and helped us organize tours, transfers, laundry, and even gave us all the great local food recommendations. Let us leave our bags all day, gave us early check in etc. The rooms are basic, very clean and great value for money.

Cons:

The rooms are quite dated compared to the pictures and lots of light comes through the windows (thick curtains especially on the front rooms would help!). This is a basic accommodation - you get what you pay for and you are paying for a 5-star location & staff, but not a 5-star room.
