I booked a room a week in advance, only to have my reservation cancelled at 9pm on the day because I did not respond to a message sent at 20:54pm asking if I was coming. I was on a 9-hour bus journey with no reception or WiFi, so I could not reply in time (I understand that is not their fault, but the timing was absurd). The listed check-in time is 14:00-0:00, so the fact they cancelled my booking at 21:00—well within the stated check-in window—makes this even more ridiculous. If a hotel needs specific check-in times, they usually ask a day or two beforehand, not minutes before cancelling someone’s room.

When I arrived and explained the situation, I was told there were no rooms left, despite my confirmed reservation. After a lengthy and frustrating conversation via Google Translate, I was eventually told they had "kicked the guest out early" to give me the room—as if this was some sort of favour and not simply the room I had already reserved.

To make matters worse, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, there were loud noises from upstairs all night that made it almost impossible to sleep, and I was offered absolutely no compensation for the inconvenience or stress caused.

On top of all that, while it is clearly stated where the location is, I now understand how annoying it is to be 45 minutes outside the city centre. Between the cost of a Grab or taxi both ways, you might as well pay a little extra to stay within the city itself. The supposed savings are completely offset by the hassle and added transport expenses.

This entire experience was unacceptable, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. Booking.com should reassess the professionalism of the establishments it lists if this is considered an acceptable level of service.
