A real resort!
Pros:

This is the most fun we've had at any resort!

We stayed at Komsan Kampot Resort for 2 nights as a family. 2 adults and 1 child (7 years old) in the cockle building. Cockle is close to the pool and restaurant.. Junior family twin balcony. 1 twin bed/1 king bed. They provide transportation around the facilities upon request or you can take one of the many bicycles/scooters available for use.

First, the staff is incredible. From check-in to restaurant to room cleaning, everything was truly 5 stars. How convenient to text them if we need anything or even for room service. They also deliver food/drink anywhere on the grounds. So convenient! They also decorated our room for my husbands birthday and it was absolutely beautiful! Complete with a lovely hand written card 🥹

Grounds: It's so family friendly. There are games on every corner. Mini golf, mini billiards, regular billiards, foosball, under the table soccer, checkers/chess, basketball, volleyball, badminton, fishing rods, kayaks, paddleboat on the small lake near restaurant, 2 playgrounds, large pool, kids pool, huge splash pad, jacuzzis in large pool, large slide, a larger pool on top of the restaurant, dry sauna, steam rooms, bicycles of all kinds, scooters, toys...I mean absolutely everything! I'm sure I even forgot some things 😂 everytime we turned a corner somewhere there was a fun game to do!

There are two sections. One with most of the resort and games and another one on the big river across a small road. Beautiful seating and swinging spots, heart shaped benches, basketball, kayaks, chickens running around. The sun sets on this side and it's gorgeous. Perfect for a large gathering by the river.

They have some animals in a few places, we saw peacocks walking around too!

The room was spotless and the beds were so soft and comfortable. Cleaning staff is great. The entire grounds are very clean and bright. A lot of trees being planted. They even identify the types.

Cons:

Something to add:

-it would be nice to add a mini mart or have some snacks for sale like chips/candy/chocolate.

-for the cockle rooms with the open jacuzzi on the patio, a privacy screen would be nice until the plants grow in on the roadside. A little bamboo wall between the road and balcony or even some extra potted plants or something for a little more cover on that side.

-a small wooden drying rack would be fantastic on the balcony to dry clothes after swimming

These are all small suggestions 😊

I'd like to add: Komsan is a true resort. I have traveled a lot and many resorts label themselves resorts when they are simply a hotel with a pool.

Komsan is the true standard for a resort. Offering plenty of activities, delicious food, and a very comfortable and clean environment with immaculate service. The employees are SO wonderful. They truly made our stay perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at this resort. Clean room, great services, peaceful resort vibe
Pros:

- Clean room
- Beautiful environment next to Kampot River with stunning sunset view
- Very friendly and helpful staff
- Plenty free activities for kids and adults

Cons:

It is not in the centre, approx. 5km from the city centre, 10-15 minutes by car/Tuk Tuk/motorbike. Having said that it is in a quiet, nature setting (rice fields, river, mountains)

A wonderful, peaceful stay in a beautiful location with exceptional staff.
Pros:

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at our resort in Kampot. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful location and the serene surroundings. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and unwind, away from the rush of everyday life.

Cons:

While we appreciated that bicycles were provided to help guests get around, they were in need of serious maintenance and there were not enough available for all guests.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness, making us feel at home right away. Pros:

Le complexe hôtelier s'adresse aux familles et offre de nombreuses activités aux enfants. Le personnel est très accueillant. Ma chambre était très grande avec un balcon sur l'eau, les oiseaux, les grenouilles pour coulisse sonore. Dépaysement total. Situé aux bords de Kampot, c'est un bon point de chute pour visiter la région. Sur le site, 2 piscines et sauna pour se détendre. Cuisine régionale qui permet de découvrir les saveurs de la région.
