We had the villa to ourselves, it was a very quiet and clean place, the staff was really helpful all the time, the pool is extremely clean, you can use the kitchen for breakfast, thank you for everything, we will definitely come back, Kateřina and Eliška
Very slow wifi like in all Srilanka from Dialog....
This place felt like an oasis amongst the noise and chaos of Galle. Set in a residential area this is a lovely secure villa with a nice refreshing pool. We rang last minute as had been let down by another villa and they were able to let us check in immediately which we were really grateful for. We were lucky that there were no other guests so we were able to chose the bedrooms we wanted had the place to ourselves. I’m not sure how well it would work with individuals staying though. There is a downstairs living area with dining table and upstairs there is a tv room. Good security with high gates and spiked fencing. Great restaurant 100yds down the road called Komeda which was outstanding. Furniture and fittings were all good quality. Breakfast can be ordered the night before which was plentiful. Good aircon in all the rooms, showers good. Excellent tv with satellite channels. Short tuk tuk ride from the centre of Galle. Bathrooms and towels weren’t ready but we did literally land upon them at short notice.
Kitchen had big sign on door saying keep out. There were no fridges or tea coffee making facilities in the bedrooms so we put drinks in the fridge. We weren’t sure if we were supposed to ask the caretaker to get things for us which felt awkward but then we felt like we were trespassing if we went in the kitchen. Outside seating area covered by 3 CCTV cameras which owners were watching (they messaged to ask us to turn off outside lights) so you never felt completely relaxed. Worst though, one of the cameras looked directly into the downstairs bedroom and another into the living area (no curtains). At one point we tried to plug in a massage chair which was in the living room and the Caretaker (who hung around all day and was lovely, we think he was supposed to sleep there but we told him we didn’t need him so he went home to his family) immediately dashed in from his living area and told us we couldn’t. This added to the feeling of being under surveillance.
