During our recent trip to Kathmandu, we stayed at the Hotel Yakroo Manang twice. We liked the hotel, the friendliness of all the staff. Since it’s located in Thamal, like so many other hotels/dormitories, everything is reasonably close by/within walking distance. Our room was clean and quiet. Given the low occupancy while we were breakfast was individually served (as per the menu/card) but that was ok for us.
Everything excellent
Room and view from rooftop
The room was very nice: big, clean and the bathroom was great with a large shower. We had a large bed and aircon, and the room was light and airy. The Rooftop area was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The only thing was that the kettle didn’t turn off once boiled and we burnt our fingers when trying to pick it up.
Lovely location. Amazing rooftop with 360 views.
Room was a little noisy (1st floor) with doors banging
decent hotel for the price
breakfast included is a basic choice of set continental or American
would happily stay here again
Very good
No
The roof top terrace was like a little bit of calm in a hectic day. Worth staying here if you like to have a little quiet time with great views if the city.
Staff were so friendly. Nothing was a problem.
very nice hotel in a good location, new clean rooms, excellent breakfast and super friendly staff. I'll definitely be back
- The appartment is comfortable with an awesome view! Small but nice balcony.
- Comfortable bed
- Very helpful and friendly staff!
- Breakfast included. There was no buffet, but we got toast with eggs, sausage and fruits. It was enough. And the views from the rooftop are nice!
- Unfortunally, the elevator was broken down 3 out of 4 days staying. The appartement was at the 6th floor. Due to Holy it took longer time to fix it.
Almost everything was great. The king suit room was great and spacious with two very comfortable and clean beds, a full panorama glass wall on a nice view,a small kitchen with basic utilities. We've also upgraded our triple bed room to a queen suite which was also very nice but view not as the other suite. This hotel is small but rooms are a 5 star hotel. The owner is very nice and cooperative and had responded to all our requests nicely. The staff all are very cooperative, cooperative and humble and responded to our requests nicely. We're Muslim and were fasting so they accepted to make our free breakfast after sunset. The breakfast menu is simple but is ok maybe it could be improved. The location is ok in the heart of thamel which is full of foreigners so prices are higher than other places Anyway we had a great stay and I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends 🙂
Breakfast could be improved. Location is ok
Good location. Clean and large room and bed
Not a problem just Know that the taxi wont stop in front but few meters before . It’s fine .
The staff was very friendly and helpful . The suite we stayed was excellent ,with balcony ,view of the city. The location was excellent, near Thamel but quiet . Wifi was ok , nice bath , elevator and comfy bed.
Every things is so clean ,nice comforter ,comfortable bed with all higenic amenities
Excellent staff ,especially receptionists and Sonu..
Overall hotel is excellent in service and response.
Overall worth of money..
I really like and would recommend everyone. Thanks
I was in December month so it's been cold weather so suggest to keep room heater or any other suitable gadgets to warm up the room.
I saw a few of my friends hotels or very stylish hostels (Yog hotel), but I think Hotel Yakroo takes the spot since it has everything the others had, and more.
One of the best rooftop in the city, and perfect place to watch the sunset while sipping on the beverage of your choice !
I got to see all the types of rooms, and all of them were very good ! My room was the basic double bed one, the bed was very comfortable, the decoration tasteful, there were many different lights, a TV (which I did not use), and the bathroom was beautiful and had everything I needed.
The hotel is very well located in the Thamel neighborhood, which is the most active one in Kathmandu. I was a 5 minutes walk from pretty much anything interesting I wanted to check out.
I had the breakfast included, and tried both the continental and indian. The Indian one takes a bit longer (they warned me), but was my favorite. They substituted sausages for eggs since I'm vegetarian.
I had snacks one evening on the rooftop, and they were some of the best I had over my 2 weeks in Nepal.
The rooftop. I can't describe the feeling of awe I had when first coming up to the rooftop. 7th floor is a bar with a 270° view of the city, and 8th floor is a covered rooftop which gives a 360° view, and one of the highest and prettiest view of the whole neighborhood. I couldn't really see any buildings as tall with such a nice rooftop !
The staff was really sweet and friendly. It seems frequent in Nepal, but every encounter stays authentic and warm. From the receptionist, waiters and cook, they were all heart warming :)
A little inconvenience was that I had to ask them to turn on the hot water twice. But I was the only guest when I arrived, so it makes sense. The hot water takes a long time to arrive, but I guess it's because I was on the first floor and the water tank must be on the 7th or 8th floor.
