Disappointing stay
Pros:

location only positive.

Cons:

The location is the only thing this property has going for it — everything else is poorly maintained and neglected. Inspections do not appear to be done before guests arrive.
I am dissatisfied with the house and its management.
Towels and pillows were old and flat, the mattress had no support, and the makeup mirror was improperly installed.
The door handle was loose, furniture wobbly, TV wiring unsafe, and the warning notice misplaced.
The ironing equipment was stained, and linens were left hanging in the corridor as if housekeeping did not exist.
Many items were unsafe or unusable.

I stayed 10 days, and at a non-cheap rate, I never felt comfortable. This unit is clearly managed for profit, not guest comfort.
Communication is inconsistent and unprofessional. Before check-in, they contact guests personally via text or WhatsApp. But during checkout, they only message through Booking.com DM. Guests should not have to constantly check Booking.com messages, especially when communication was handled differently before arrival.

Location, studio is great only spoiled by inadequate air conditioning
Pros:

Location. Quiet. Come with washing machine. Bed is firm and comfortable

Cons:

The air conditioner is clearly insufficient to cool the studio apartment, I.e, a 1hp Aircon to cool the whole studio. If not for the ceiling fan, it would have been very difficult to sleep. Unless you don’t mind sleeping under a fan, this unit of studio apartment is quite uncomfortable to sleep in

Pros:

It was very clean and Ms. Yani was very accommodating. The location is also perfect because it is near the mall and public transportation. I highly recommend this airbnb.

Pros:

I rarely write reviews but I really need to warn others. I am willing to edit this rating if there are concrete improvement plans.

Unfortunately it was a very frustrating ordeal to get the key. The manager sent me the contact info of who to alert before I arrived. However, once I arrived, she was not present. I called the manager and he said "someone will be there soon." After waiting some time, a Grab driver delivered us with the key. But he had no instructions of how to enter the building. We were sitting ducks with no idea what to expect.

The manager also asked me to send 200 as a "deposit." As a tourist, I don't have access to e-bank transfer and it felt uncomfortable to send funds without any guarantee of return. I would've preferred the deposit being through Expedia or another official platform. We made a compromise of a cash deposit. However, due to all the confusion with grabbing the key, I was not requested to provide the deposit.

Additionally, the key was very sticky and the locks should be replaced.

Finally, with the departure, I was told to drop off the keys in the mailbox. No instructions on where they are. Plus, we learned that you cannot exit the car park without scanning out with the key. So we had to exit the car park and walk back inside to deposit the key. If we didn't know that and deposited the key before leaving the car park, we would've been stranded.

FYI this is an independent homestay, not a hotel suite.
