Simple accommodation in a stunning location
Pros:

The location was great - on the edge of the lake and only a short, cheap taxi ride away from the centre of Bacalar. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our cabin was fairly basic, but it was spacious and clean, with a particularly good shower. The lakeside view was just a short walk from the cabin and it was stunning.

Cons:

The cabin was dimly lit throughout and the only mirror was in the bathroom and was placed a bit too high

Bacalar en increible hospedaje.
Pros:

Excelentes vistas, ubicacion sobre Laguna y Cenote, la casa super amplia y su muelle de ensueño.

Cons:

Agregaria alguna sombrilla o algo para sombra en la Terraza para que pueda ser utilizada durante el dia. Es solo una sugerencia porque en realidad me gusto todo.

My second visit to Bacalar was so much better than my first because of Bacalar My Love
Pros:

Although Bacalar My Love was clean, my room spacious and quiet, and the view and facilities all excellent and a great value for the money paid, it was the outstanding staff, every single person who worked there, who made my 3 night stay perfect.

Cons:

Everything was famtastic.

Pros:

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt hier. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Lagune und es gibt viele Plätze zum verweilen. Man kann 2h pro Tag kostenlos mit dem Kajak fahren. Das Zimmer war sauber und ruhig. Zu Fuss braucht man ca. 35 Minuten bis ins Stadtzentrum. Es gibt keine Fahrräder zum Ausleihen in der Unterkunft.

Pros:

The bungalow was clean and comfortable, but it got very cold at night with no real way to warm it up besides an extra blanket. Private lake access is great, but boats constantly stop right by the pier to see a nearby landmark, which gets noisy and annoying. Our bungalow was also right next to the road, so traffic noise was an issue. The staff didn’t speak English but were kind and tried their best to help. It’s far from town, so you’ll need a taxi or bike, and there’s no food or drinks on-site or nearby.

Pros:

Great lagoon front location. Nice cabanas. Free bicycles and kayaks. Friendly staff.

Great place for swimming, clean because it's next to the cenotes.

Cons:

They checked the towels after use and accused us of leaving a stain with sunscreen, which was ultimately not true.

Pros:

Posizione di fronte alla laguna, sembra più un bungalow in un campeggio che un hotel. La camera è spaziosa e pulita, c'è il frigorifero e la macchina per il caffè, ti mettono a disposizione le capsule ma per caffè americano. Il personale è gentile. Bisogna assolutamente fare un minimo di spesa se sì vuole fare comodamente colazione in struttura, lì non c'è neanche un bar e le strutture vicino offrono poco e a caro prezzo. Va bene per max 2 notti.

Cons:

La struttura dista circa 30min di cammino per la città, che è molto carina e tipica. La strada è buia e ci sono solo beach club abbastanza costosi quindi senza bici è complicata e loro non noleggiano bici. Il personale è gentile ma non ti informa di tour o noleggio kayak, devi chiedere tutto e se chiedi come ho fatto io un asciugacapelli la mattina non c'è ma al pomeriggio con altro operatore te lo danno subito. Il bagno necessita di ristrutturazione ed è molto buio. Insonorizzazione zero, abbiamo dormito con i tappi alle orecchie per via della strada molto trafficata. Per spegnere la luce devi alzarti dal letto! Il nostro letto era in pendenza quindi da stesi i piedi stavano più in alto della testa😅

The hotel is close to both the local road and the main highway, so road noise.
