Property is clean and very friendly stay blessed
Everything I like
Lovely family run accommodation in a more quiet area of Kathmandu. The family were really so kind and welcoming and I had a great time chatting with them in the evening. More laid back approach. Definitely would stay there with them again next time. Really accommodating to your unique circumstances.
I arrived very tired after a long bus journey. They didn't know I was coming and were fully booked. Eventually they offered me to sleep in their son's bedroom. I had booked a room with a private bathroom but they said they don't have any rooms like that, even though it clearly says 'private bathroom' in the ad.
Their son seemed to be annoyed with me the whole time I was there.
He locked me out of the property on the second day and then locked me in on the third day. That's incredibly dangerous.
One evening, the father banged on my door at 9.30 pm and walked in, saying he needed a blanket. He looked everywhere in the room, then left again. I've never experienced anything like that before.
When I told him I was checking out, he was surprised that I didn't want to stay with them anymore and said that because I'm a Buddhist, I should want to stay with them. I never said I was a Buddhist.

It is in busy Katmandu! but on the outskirts so views of the mountains rather than the pollution of the crowded city.

The host is very kind and friendly, when we talk about the WiFi he immediately checked it and works well for me. So I will say here has a good service. And here is not far from Thamel and Swayambhunath Stupa Monkey Temple, you can just walk there or choose motorcycle in indrive with low price.
They also give services like Trekking/Hiking & Chitwan & Jungle Safari, Tourist Bus/Jeep Transaction & Mountain flight service.
The surroundings are being developing when I came here.
It was a very pleasant stay the rooms were very good the serviece was pleasant I would like to visit that place again.😊
Very nice family and place to stay
If you want to stay away from the touristy part of Kathmandu, its good location. Also, as all buses run on Ring Road, if that is what you need, the home is 2 minutes walk from there. Yet, the house is very silent.
It is a homestay, meaning a family is your host. They were nice and respectful people. The woman made me dinner and even walked to the corner to pick me up when i needed to help with finding the house. The man of the house helped with phone call and also got up at 5.50 in the morning of my leaving and prepared a tea for me. Nepali hospitality at its best.

Himalaya Vacations Home has a good location far away from the noisy center. The beds are confortable and you have hot water, good WIFI and good service. The nepali family is very friendly and Maya is a very good cook. Palsang is also a guide and he can help you if you need it.

I book this house for price NPR 227.when i reach owner told me the price of this room is NPR 2000.what a discusting property. I lost my time . The staff is not friendly . I requet this type of fraud must be suspended permentaly. And i request other also must put correct price . This kind of issue happend to me but no need happen to other customers.
The location is good as it's a 25 minute walk away from the center of Kathmandu and very close to the monkey temple! This is a good place for a more relaxed stay, as it's not as busy as Thamal and therefore gives a bit more breathing room! The host is very helpful and kind and offer food throughout the day.
Open space in the terrace and balcony, mostly quiet and peaceful.
The hosts were disturbing early in the morning outside our room and also they charged more than the amount said in the app. They did not have any online money transfer service and there were no ATMs nearby. Location was very hard to find as it was inside a small street plus the road was miserable. Never going there again!!
