It was great! The hotel was clean and the shower was fantastic!
My train was cancelled so i booked in overnight.
Very convenient location
Was told I had a nice Queen room.
In reality it was a box without windows at the back of the basement in another property a few doors down the road.
A queen bed with just enough room to walk around and nothing more.
The air con was loud, the fear of being trapped if there were a fire all contributed to hardly any sleep.
The decor was fresh and neutral but looked to mask flaws like cracked bathroom tiles, gaps in skirting.
This was not what I had expected given the cost of £230 for the night. Appreciate this isn’t a high cost for a London hotel but significant enough to expect a better standard with some kind of light and ventilation.
First time guest at Z Hotels. Room was spacious and emmaculate.
I really liked the club kitchen where guests could come to relax and grab a drink/snack. I didn’t feel this benef
Firstly the Z Hotel is not easy to find as there is no sign to the hotel on the street.
Secondly, what few reviews or details of the hotel explain, is that the hotel is a series of separate houses along the same street. You are therefore likely to be directed from the cupboard of a reception to another house down the road some 50 or 100 yards away. A wet and windy walk to breakfast, if you want it.
The WiFi in the Junior Suite we booked was inconsistent to say the least and with Marylebone being such a built up area and the hotel being a 200 year old building, network connection was frustratingly, also totally unreliable. In the 21st century this fact alone makes for a difficult stay.
The staff were all generally friendly and the room was comfortable and quiet.
The glass screen to the en-suite facilities was quirky and didn’t bother us. Thought it might to more modest types.
We had a room that had a separate bit of space up some steps through a doorway that was furnished with a single stool that was strange. Why not a sofa? Or a sofa and tv?
Finally, the fire escape plan on the door was incorrect. It advised occupants to run upstairs rather than down to the exit - sorry it’s my job.
I would not return as there were too many inconsistencies in the description of the hotel, the room and the internet comms are unacceptable
Perfect base for a weekend in London. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. TV, drink making facilities, hairdryer and toiletries all included.
Overraskende bra hotell. Fantastisk 24/7 service, store flotte rom. 4 min gange til Oxford Street,
Really enjoyed our stay. Cindy at reception was fabulous - very helpful and friendly.
Great service, would stay again!
Functional and clean. Was in a basement room which had slightest smell of damp although nothing visible. A reasonable option for the price bracket in that part of London
Had just a one night stay here . Wish it had been longer everything was perfect . I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be coming back .
Incredible experience. Free cheese and wine upon arrival!
Excellent stay and would thoroughly recommend. Location, amenities, staff. Great all round!
Ma chambre était sans fenêtre. Au sous-sol, avec tout le confort. L'environnement est calme. La rue est parallèle à Baker street avec tous les commerces. Bus et métro à proximité.
Very good, only downside is the noise on my
Interesting property… fantastic location, modern well done room, excellent and friendly staff, and a fair price for all of that. It was unlike any hotel I’ve stayed at. A small room that functioned like a studio apartment in a great part of town.
BUT… I can also say that I had one decent sleep out of the three nights we stayed due to our room being in a vestibule next to the lift (don’t take room 3301 or 3302). We heard the fire door open and close all night, people chattering, hooting and hollering, and the lift door opening and saying “Ground Floor” repeatedly at all hours. If you had any idea of taking an afternoon nap, you can forget about it. Also, no top sheet on the bed? Certainly substandard and possibly subhuman given that the duvet was way too thick and made us sweat profusely. Also not the kind of room you’d want to share with anyone other than a significant other given the fishbowl bathroom that lacked any privacy.
The place is a great concept, but why chinz out on proper sheets, hair conditioner, a safe in the room, and adequate noise control?
This is my favourite hotel in London, loved the room!
The club is an add extra, it was so nice to chill out in the evening with a glass of wine in the club area .
