Riverside Hotel

Clean and Nice rooms. For the price paid, I think best in the area. Really enjoyed our stay.

Parking was easy and fairly secure.
Room was clean. Saw no staff.

We had no wifi, so didn't get our passcode. Then we discovered the building doesn't have a lift.

The self chevk in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean.

We realised on booking that the hotel was unmanned. Almost to our surprise, it does work. We were given codes and instructions on how to enter and our room number an hour before check in.

The rooms very clean, with a lot more storage than some other hotels. There was tea and coffee, plus a fan and hair dryer in needed. All the towels and bed linen were top quality. Downstairs there was a vending machine with cold drinks and snacks plus charging leads and toothbrush kits.

Negatives were there was only one chair in the double room, no USB ports or instructions on how to use heating controls. Because we had used our rewards, we were happy with our bill. However I would not wanted to pay the full £140 for a Saturday night and have no breakfast.

The room was ok but when I arrived there was no key. A lady came and brought it but in the morning the cleaner came straight into my room without knocking thinking it was empty. The key system is flawed and I would worry about the security of guests. I won’t be staying somewhere with no reception again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Riverside Hotel. There was plenty of space available in their free carpark. As there is no Reception on site I received the check-in code exactly as explained on my phone. The process at the hotel to collect my key worked without a problem. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, had a very comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the en-suite. I had a comfortable night's sleep.

Very Clean and functional (basic accommodation) no bar or restaurant, a good base for the weekend while in the area.
Easy walk into town where there are plenty of pubs and restaurants.

Great stay, very clean room, good value for your money and 15 minute walk into centre. Room was excellent apart from no air conditioning but a fan was provided.

Only stayed one night, room was clean, spacious and beds comfortable and place was quite. It didn’t have a fridge in room or a lift to get to room, which meant I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs.

This hotel is excellent for the price. However access is totally automated and bar from the cleaner we never saw any staff. Room was comfortable and clean. We stayed here mainly as it was reasonably price and were aware that there wasn’t a lift. If you have serious disabilities this hotel would not be suitable as there are no ground floor rooms. Felt it was rather impersonal but at the price paid this was acceptable. Overall this hotel was good value for money

Lovely over night stay. Though rooms could do with Air conditioning.

Overnight stay at the Riverside for meeting the following day. Never stayed in a hotel no staff at hand - have to say the experience was fine - nice hotel, good parking, clean and spacious room and great shower - what more could you ask for.

First impressions impression was it looks like a hostel as was the last impression.
Room had no AC Andrea’s hot day, but could not open windows due to the noisy road. Windows need to be better.

Really great stay here and glad we booked this for our stay. We also made use of the small kitchen downstairs to use the microwave and this worked really well for our requirements that evening. Room was really clean and well put together- bed was super comfortable
