It is an old route 66 motel that is in the monumental task of renovations. The staff was friendly, the room very clean. It still has the old charm.

A really nice hotel room along route 66. Friendly staff and a quaint dog friendly stay next to the national park. We really enjoyed this place and would gladly stay if we make a return trip to El malpais.

Bed was a bit uncomfortable. There should have been hooks on the wall to hang items from (towels, purses, toiletries, etc.
AC needs a major update.

This was a perfect little room that made my trip worth it. Wasnt fancy but it was cute and soo comfy. Slept amazingly!!! Staff was great and welcoming to me. I will definitely be staying here anytime I'm around grants nm

Great Route 66 motel experience
Pros:

The person who welcomed us at check in was really friendly and offered great recommandations for food around Grants.

I really loved the vinyl record player in the room with an album that I have back home. It felt like home.

The AC unit was a bit loud, that'd the only down side during our stay.

Really special renovated "Route 66" motel. Owner was so friendly amd helpful, room. was charming, nicely renovated with lots of vintage "Route 66" decor. AC worked great, too!

Retro motel near El Malpais. Location was great.
Bed was comfy and room seemed clean, but a little run down. Shower was awful. I’m always a little suspicious when linens and towels are gray because it hides stains. Front desk was pleasant.

Pros:

The motel was very easy to get to. It is an old motel but well kept and clean. Felt very safe in that area. Motel checkin was awesome. The owner was absolutely amazing and helpful.
