It is a beautiful and peaceful place. I place I would happily return to.
Pros:

I spent two wonderful weeks at Alam Puri Art Museum and Villas. It is a beautiful and peaceful place where you can truly relax. My room was spacious and comfortable. Meals are always delivered to the room and are very tasty, as there is no restaurant on the property. The staff are very kind and always helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. What makes this place extra special are the wooden garden doors that stand open like gateways: you first step through one door onto a platform with art, and then through the next set of doors towards the swimming pool. A unique and atmospheric setting that adds so much to the experience. A place I would happily return to!

Cons:

A bigger safe in the room that is attached to a wall.

Beautiful grounds and wonderful museum onsite
Pros:

Beautiful rooms that feel private set in stunning grounds that are well kept and with great views. The museum was open for guests and we had a personal tour which was very informative and interesting. The pool is great and the stage friendly and helpful. The oil they make on site was very useful later in calming mosquito bites so also recommend. The location is in a quieter village so it felt like we got a local experience. There are lots of steps around the property and to get to the rooms so bear in mind. Staff helped with our luggage though.

One of the rare gems of Bali: a special place
Pros:

Everything! The two breathtakingly beautiful pools at two sides of the river, the restaurant area, the blooming frangipani trees, the spacious room - and the many valuable artefacts all over the property. The museum of Indonesian tribal art has a huge collection of rare objects.
There is a library room with a good collection on Balinese art.
As I wanted to visit Denpasar, Sanur and Canggu, but Ubud and Batur, too, this place on the middle ground was a perfect location. There are earrings around and a cafe-resto in walking distance.
It is a very special place where you hear history whisper to your ears and authentic art enlightens you at every corner.

Cons:

The large painting in my first room (suite 01) was not my taste, that was the reason I changed room once. The second room (suite 04) was just perfect.
The downstairs rooms with a private garden and a mini pool were not listed on booking.com, unfortunately.

Rare Find in Bali - A Haven of Nature & Culture
Pros:

Alam Puri is a rare find — peaceful, surrounded by nature, and deeply connected to the culture of Bali and Indonesia. It’s the kind of place where you can actually hear the birds, breathe fresh air, and feel a sense of timelessness in the quiet.

The villas are spacious and full of character, with classic Balinese design and lush greenery all around. You’re away from the crowds here, and that’s what makes it so special — it really feels like your own little world.

The hidden gem, though, is the on-site museum created by Made Putrawan — the Putrawan Museum of Art (PUMA). It’s the first tribal art museum in Indonesia, filled with incredible pieces, some dating back to the Neolithic era. Made himself was warm and welcoming, even taking the time to show me rare Chinese artifacts from his personal collection.

Anytime I’m in the area, this is where I’ll be staying.

Cons:

I couldn't stay longer

Perfect !
Pros:

This property is exceptionally clean ! The grounds are just beautiful.
It is an unexpected place to stay in Bali.
The whole place is a museum.
Mr. Mada ( the owner ) was so kind as to take me on a tour of all the Indonesian collections that are very rare.
For a history buff , you will not find anything better than Alum Puri in Bali !
We will be coming back here 🙂

Cons:

Not a thing

Superb
Pros:

The staff is amazingly helpful and polite. Rooms are very clean.

The facilities are outdated. There is no restaurant.
The breakfast needs to be ordered the night before and nicely served at the room nextday morning.

There is a large parking plot and the staff 24/24 available via Whapapp.

Din't expect much but a very good value for money.

Living world mall, Bali Bird park, reptile park, etc.. 15-20min car drive.
