I did not have a good experience and would not stay there again.
Pros:

The location met my needs as it is close to the Owerri-Onitsha expressway and Onitsha was my next stop. The room was neat as well.

Cons:

The staff were lousy. My telephone rang loudly before 4am to confirm if I was smoking stating that the smoke detection was coming from my room. I was jetlagged and my sleep was disrupted due to this false alarm and the staff barely apologized.
The bed is very soft and may not be good for people with orthopedic needs.

If you need value for money, Amber City is the place to be.
Pros:

Very clean, serene and great value for money. Fantastic breakfast and room service, courteous staff. My experience was exceptional

Cons:

They didn't have a gym or a pool side but the bar and general warmth made up for these things.

Staying in Amber City hotel was a heart warming experience, I had no regrets.
Pros:

The breakfast was awesome.

It had great variety.

The meals were very tasty like ho.e cooking.

Cons:

They need to make provision for adequate food for their guests.
Breakfast was like a contest. You snooze, you lose. Only early birds got what they wanted.
