We booked a double room, but were 'upgraded' to a family room, which didn't include a bed big enough for 2 to sleep in - fine with me, though! The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and it was clean. The carpet had slug trails on it and had seen better days. Given the price, it was as expected.
Great value for money, staff are warm and welcoming. The entire hotel is being renovated on a shoestring. Fixtures and fittings are low quality. Most rooms have really good, clean showers.
Ideal for workman or a crash pad for a night in Stourbridge. Brilliant central location
3 night stay - 1st night, no issues except the free car park isn’t big enough and it’s a real problem getting a space! Second night, people beeping their car horns in the car park at 4 o’clock in the morning and staff did not intervene! 3rd night, fire alarm set off by someone smoking in the room but instead of evacuating, the staff switched the alarm off before knowing if there was a fire or not! No health and safety or fire procedures followed and when I asked the staff what happened, they laughed! The bed was clean and the toilet was clean but there were layers of dust on the shelves, one of the towels had been used and the carpet hadn’t been cleaned! To be totally honest, If the staff were more empathetic and genuinely sorry, I wouldn’t have wrote this so my advice is to stay well clear!
It was ok
We recently stayed at this hotel, and while the property itself is in a good location , our room placement unfortunately impacted our comfort. Our room was located right next to the car park, which turned out to be quite disruptive. Foreign guests would step outside to talk on the phone with relatives abroad at all hours in the night, hearing every conversation they had. Not the quietest of people either.
In addition, the car park's security light was extremely bright and shone directly into our room. With only a narrow blind covering the window, the light couldn't be properly blocked, making it difficult to sleep. Between the noise and the constant illumination, we found it hard to get a good night's rest.
We feel the hotel could improve the experience by installing blackout curtains and perhaps considering soundproofing. It's a shame, because the setting itself had potential.
In a word you get what you pay for!
The carpet was full of stains
Pillows lacked aby stuffing
No hanging rail
Room was vrry average
Cheap but not cheerful. Depressing vibe, tiny room and a shower so small most wouldn’t get into that didn’t drain. Whole place smells of bad school meals. Other guests are welfare folks who sit around smoking and chatting all day.
Not bad
Staff really polite and friendly, my partner had to mend the shower head to get a proper shower, the carpets was in a stained condition but the bedding was very clean and so was the shower room, for the price if the accommodation it was great for the overnight stay
A simple hotel in the middle of Stourbridge. Rooms are adequate in size, the bed is comfortable and there's a good shower in the bathroom.
There was a problem with my room but it got sorted quickly and the staff were excellent.
Small changes in the bathroom would help - a shelf above the sink so there's somewhere to put your stuff and similarly a soap dish in the shower would be really useful.
For a cheap room it was clean and comfortable. Bit noisy as we were by the door (that let late night people in and out) but you can’t complain when you pay next to nothing. Excellent value for money. Beds were comfy. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff friendly.
It was terrible had to wait for 20 min for a staff member to arrive to check us in no ball or call to get there attention the bedroom was digusting it was so hot
First room had really load air conditioning outside window, moved to another room where people making noise and toilet system from somewhere made the most awful nouse
Working away ideal for contractors value for money
Kitchen under refurbishment
Really wanted a shower but couldn’t fit through the gap of 11 inches. You get what you pay for
On a slop in the room double bed but for a child im a adult never changed my sheets for the three nights but i was given fresh towels everyday and bin emptyed.
Tiny room. Dirt around shower. Door key didn’t open outside door so had to be left propped open.
No tv channels, no plug for the sink.
No socket near the kettle.had to put it on the floor near a large free standing fridge! No teaspoons and enough milkfor one coffee but three beds in the room
Very poor.
Outdated room could do with a complete refresh , shower was disgusting with mold on tiles and on grout along with mold on the shower door runner , radiator hanging off the wall , holes in bed linen, really dont think the rooms have been thought out properly and trying to get in the entrance door was like playing a game in the crystal maze !!! Only reason we ended up staying was because it was within walking distance of the venue we was attending other than that if you get the chance to stay in a premier inn do it ! Would not recommend this hotel it is a shitehole !!!
No key to the room and no bar service. Woken up at 6am with shouting and children screaming. No curtains at the window and no mirrors in the room or bathroom. Sink in the bathroom was half full of water. Avoid at all costs!
