Excellent amenities, location and customer service

Overall very good, slightly far away from George Town but since I am going everywhere by Grab so it doesn’t bother me.
One point to improve is the hot water didn’t last for too long (around 10-15mins)

Room towel mold smell and able to here outside traffic noise inside the room..

Very nice property in convenient location for local dining, shopping, etc. Great staff - very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money.

My stay at the Citadines was fine overall. I opted out of the breakfast option, and i was glad that I did because they dont have hot breakfast. They only have coffee and pastries. Ive stayed at more budget friendly hotels that offered a hot breakfast, so that was a little let down. Also the sound proofing was not great. I was able to hear my neighbor above me dragging furniture around and I was able to hear him pleasuring himself multiple times per day even with my head phones on. I did not hear the guests to the side of me at all, only the guest above me, which was odd. The area around the hotel is just a giant highway, so its not walkable, you have to order a grab to get anywhere. Cleanliness was ok, and the front desk staff were great. The only small downside was it was a little difficult communicating with them because they were not fluent in English, but they knew enough to get a general idea of what they were saying.

Property is fantastic, new and clean rooms. Breakfast was very disappointing as it’s not really a hotel breakfast and you’re limited to the quantity as well. If you are looking to walk and explore the George Town area you will be disappointed as it’s a bit far and would need to take a taxi. Overall decent place if your visiting but not very convenient location to the action

The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable and the service was great. It really exceeded our expectations!

Though it is not located in the old town, you can easily get around with Grab!

We will definitely stay here when we’re in Penang next!

The cost performance is excellent. The staff are all kind and provide courteous service.
The room was cleaner and more comfortable than those in the five-star hotels I’ve stayed at in Malaysia in the past.

The bedsheets are clean & there’s also clean washing machine & dryer.

Great facilities, very clean, breakfast basic but good. The area is quiet, about 20 min drive from Georgetown, but there are food and shopping options nearby.

I believe Citadines is a name that stands for quality. I previously stayed at one of their properties in Singapore and had a great experience, so choosing Citadines Tanjung Tokong Penang this time was absolutely the right decision.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a stovetop, microwave, sink, and other practical amenities—making the stay very convenient. The staff were polite and always ready to assist. I encountered some issues with my room key and had a request for a late check-out, and Mr. Adzim handled everything with great care and professionalism, offering clear explanations and prompt assistance throughout.

When I checked out, the staff were incredibly helpful in loading my luggage into the Grab car. The hotel is also ideally located, with a supermarket, shopping mall, restaurants, and a food court all nearby.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Penang!

The hotel is not a 4* because it does not have a restaurant. However, I'll rate it as 3* because it new conveniently located hotel.

Beautiful, modern style hotel with amazing view. Everyone is welcoming and very helpful. A good location that’s in between George Town and Batu Ferringhi beach, so I highly recommend if staying in Penang.

Overall in a great condition. Many things in the rooms are still new. Great gym.
Breakfast is very poor - just sweet pastries and coffee, and often the pastries didn't arrive until after I had to leave for the day even though breakfast was supposed to be open from 7am.
The rooms are a little noisy from the busy road, but overall very nice. I would happily stay again.
