The hotel was bright, quiet and very clean.
The staff were very helpful at all times,
Superb location to get around everywhere in Rome
We had an excellent stay
Thank you
beautiful property!
Location was absolutely amazing, at just 4 minutes walking distance from the Termini, it was super convenient. The room itself was really beautiful, extremely clean and spacious enough. There was a Nespresso machine for the first coffee of the day which was nice to have. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and super clean. Unfortunately this is where the positive points are ending. The hotel seemed to have undergone renovations recently, and it's a shame it was not done properly. The rice paper thin walls were half the reason why we were not able to rest at all. You can hear everything happening in the corridor and in the adjacent rooms, from people doing their "number two", to people actually fu**ing, to the maintenance staff starting their disrespectful fanfare before 6 in the morning, this is definitely not a place you will be able to sleep even with the best earplugs out there. To add insult to injury, there was no air conditioning, or at least, it was a "centrally" controlled one which is impossible to get under 25 C in the room. We were lucky it was not as hot as it's usually in Roma at this time of year.Other than that there was one of those extremely low quality chinese fridge which was not working, leading us to loose some food. Also the drain in the shower was completely clogged, you cannot let the shower run for more than 1-2 minutes at a time otherwise it will overflow on the floor, you have to wait for the drain to swallow very slowly before restarting it.
The hotel room and location were excellent, very close to main metro, bus and train station so can easily visit everywhere. We did not try the food so cannot comment and did not see what the other rooms were like. I managed to get the family room which was the largest and recently refurbised. Be aware, the vacinity although great location is very dirty and lots of people trying to sell you things. We found a great restaurant not far away Santa Maria Osteria Romana all all staff are Italian, food was fantastic and very friendly.
Clean and modern room with all the necessities.
They were under construction and did not advise us. We would never have booked, if we had known.
Muito boa a localização do hotel e o conforto do quarto aparentemente recém reformado. Café da manhã satisfatório. Funcionários solícitos e atenciosos.
Staff was great. However it’s evident that they are trying to grow their hotel as there is a lot of construction and some unfinished areas. The walls are thin as we could hear conversations in the common areas while in our room.
The room was clean and big for a family of 5. There was construction in the building that started at 7am. On our 2nd day the hotel lost power and couldn’t tell us when it would be restored. Then they lost water. The front desk was not helpful and would just ignore our questions when we were trying to find out what was going on. They offered to refund us but were not helpful in helping us find alternative accommodations. When we tried to get the refund through Expedia, the hotel refused. They didn’t offer bottled water or flashlights for trying to navigate the dark stairwell. They even made a joke about the water running out. It was horrible. The location was good but I would not recommend to anyone. Avoid at all costs
I would prefer this review not to go public because the inconvenience may not have been the property’s fault. I stayed 2 nights in Relais Marco Polo, Rome, near Termini from 1-3 July25. On the first morning, 2 July, there was a black out. This continued all day and the electricity was not restored until some time during the night. I visited reception where I was told that the whole street was impacted. The latter was not correct as the restaurants downstairs were operating and my friend was staying at the Yes Hotel up the road and they had electricity. The hotel did not contact me or apologise in any form. My room was on the fourth floor and this meant taking the stairs, which were pitch black with no attempt made to put in any temporary lighting. It was very dangerous. Unable to charge my phone I had no torch. Fortunately the electricity came back on during the night and I was able to use the lift with my heavy bag when I checked out the next morning. No provision had been offered for this. As well as zero information or consideration on the impacted day it was a 36 degrees in Rome and AC was essential so I had to go elsewhere. I would like the property to refund my costs. As indicated in my review the other aspects of the hotel were fine.
The hotel is in an old, dirty building that is under construction. The rating on Hotels.com is above 8 pts but the hotel is a 3 star. The entire two floors smell terrible and the rooms are old, dirty with thin walls. You can hear everything from adjacent rooms.
I originally booked one 4 person room at Relais Marco Polo. Later requested a second room. They bumped me down to Hotel Marco Polo with 2 rooms without informing me. When I arrived I was disgusted with the smell and the dirtiness of the place. I requested to get back my original room, which only one was available. When I went into the room, there were ants crawling everywhere and hair all over the floor. I asked them to clean the room which they did. I was asked to pay additional $120 for the second room, on top of $900 plus city tax. The hotel was not with over $1000 for 2
Nights. I was very disappointed.
We avoided sending time on the property because it was so terrible and went to the room only to sleep. The experience ruined my stay in Rome.
Só a localização que é muito longe de tudo. E tem muita gente estranha ao redor. Do resto, os quartos são excelentes
Está cerca de términi pero me la noche hay homeless en la estación
For their renovated rooms, I would recommend the hotel. It is about 150m from Termini and is accepting late arrivals. Our flight was delayed and all in all we arrived at 22:45. It is quiet but not fully sound proof. There are restaurants, small market and coffee shop right by the entrance of the building.
The room is newly renovated and clean. But the main problem is the building got power failure twice during our stay and really impacting.
Very small apartment. The only plus is that it’s close to Termini station, but the listed distances to major attractions are not accurate.
Nice Hotel and very friendly staffs, and a very nice location.
quarto com tudo novinho em folha, roupa de cama boa, chuveiro e internet excelentes e a comodidade de estar a uma quadra de roma termini
Disappointed that in our 1st stay we could request an iron and ironing board and take it to our room to iron and a week later in our 2nd stay we had to iron in the reception hallway to iron as we were told we can't iron in the room. And the elevator seems like a safety hazard. We understand it is an old building but the elevator must be upgraded. And no telephone in the room to call the reception.
Full of character. But has modern rooms. Staff friendly, helpful, personality. Area full of interesting local colour, history and quiet churches when the crowd gets too much. And picked because close to termini. Love roma.
