Gora Kadan in Fuji offers truly breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji. We stayed in one of the private villa suites, which featured exceptional amenities, including a private dry sauna, an indoor hot spring bathtub upstairs, and an additional outdoor onsen.

Our family regularly stays at five-star hotels and resorts around the world, and this property easily ranks among the very best. The food, service, room amenities, privacy, and views were all absolutely top-notch.

Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we will definitely return on our next visit to the Mt. Fuji area.

This is a standout hotel in Japan. It’s 3 months old and the website does it not justice. The hotel and grounds are spectacular, the facilities (spa, gym, lounges, restaurants) are beautiful. We stayed in a room the size of an apartment, with both an indoor and out hot spa. The hotel manager has 15+ years of experience at Ritz hotel and brings the shame charm, insight and guest experience to the Gora Kadan Fuji. The entire team were delightful, including the wonderful driver who waited for us whilst we visited Fuji-speedway nearby.
The food is exceptional.

My only regret is we didn’t stay one or two more nights. It was a welcome tonic after the craziness of Tokyo!

Hands down the best hotel we stayed at in Japan.
Book it, you won’t regret it.

Absolutely beautiful room with incredible views of Mt Fuji. Beautiful premises overall with gorgeous Japanese interior design. Gorgeous pool and onsen. Amazing massage - probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The only thing I would mark down slightly is the food.

Such an amazing place. Gora Kadan Fuji is a truly magical hotel. The rooms are perfect, comfortable and clean. I loved the tub next to the bathroom that was always full of hot water and with a lovely sound.
Norika, the manager goes above and beyond with attention to her guests. Very warm and welcoming.
Thank you for a wonderful and special few days with you.

Pros:

The nicest staff of any hotel ever experienced, a spacious private open air bath fed from the mountain depths, modern rooms with ample amenities, excellent food prepared by master chefs, and a perfect picturesque view of Fuji (when the weather is right). This was the best experience we’ve had in Japan. Though the price was steep we were sad to leave and felt it worth every dollar.
