The Regal Hotel

The hotel is situated on a main road and states that there is car parking but it was full so we had to park in a council car park up the road near a bus station my husband struggled as we have a blue badge
The beach is not direct access it is also up the road
The staff are lovely

Best value hotel I’ve been to

Staff were friendly at breakfast.
But the hotel wasn’t great and personally not worth £68 a night. The rooms appeared smaller than pictured on the website too.
We had no hot water and was told by the manager that we did… it wasn’t until the other people on our floor told her that they didn’t have hot water that she believed us and checked our rooms, then said ‘I suppose you want some kind of refund then’. We managed to get a £20 refund.
Personally we won’t be returning.

Dated decour but under new owners who are renovating.
The hotel has the most helpful wonderful staff, nothing to much trouble to them. Food good, ideal central location, clean safe and secure. Close to tram and bus stops. Bar at the premises with entertainment.
Their motto 'Arrive as strangers leave as friends ' 100% true
Definitely would stay there again

I discovered on arrival that if i wanted dinner, i had to book the day before. Next morning, wanting breakfast, discovered i needed to book that the previous day!!

Maz was lovely as were all the other staff .

Car parking was difficult as all the hotel spaces where taken when I arrived.

Only stayed 1 night and breakfast was delicious.

Very poor hotel, the rooms where very outdated. There were holes in the curtains and the carpet was absolutely filthy. There was mould in the bathroom and damp wet ceilings. The towel was dirty and had holes in it. It states parking at the hotel but there are only 6 spaces at the back first come first serv. The fan on the ceiling was very old and hanging on by a thread. It sounded like a helicopter in the room.

The good points are that the staff were very friendly. The bed sheets were very clean.

My sister and i stayed overnight midweek. The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lacking some fruit and yoghurt but everything else was good. Bed was comfy, room very clean, restaurant very clean and lounge very comfortable. Could do with some updating but the staff made it a great stay and if im in the area again i wouldnt hesitate to come back.

It was a perfect stay nice and clean warm friendly staff and receptionist I am definitely staying again and in a great location

An excellent hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast was also excellent. There was entertainment in the bar every evening. My room was very good with a nice, comfortable bed.

The only problem was that being disabled checked that I could have access with my mobility scooter but the reality was that the lift was so small and the ramp. Had to be asked for. This was ok when there was staff available but on 3 occasions I had to ask passers by to lift it in

Didn't eat in the property so can't comment. Room in need of refurb but clean and comfortable

Absolutely fantastic would 100% stay again lovely people nice and clean 👌 also a bar down stairs with food 😀
