Modala Beach Resort

Clean Hotel and very friendly staff. Though it is very far from everything and they sold out on some foods. Very high prices that are cheaper in other resorts around phillipines. Breakfast buffet also okay, many choises that changes day by day. They clean the beach every day after high tide. They are sadly a little mean to the stray cats even if they dont do anything. Its phillipines they have strays. But no reason to spray them with water all the way along the beach or even kick them. When leaving be aware if u have paid a deposit that they dont charge you for things you already paid for. They tried to do that. Be aware when you leave that they will ask you to stay while they check the room. Plus that you actually get your deposit back. We had to adk and he said he already given it to us. But he had not since he asked us to wait first. Stripmall and 7/11 near by very overpriceed and out of stock on a lot. Many empty stores.

Modala was beautiful. There are many hotels in Bohol, but I'm so glad we chose this one. The pool and beach are pristine and quiet, and we loved the shopping area attached to the hotel, with good restaurants, cafes, and lovely shops for souvenirs and handmade jewelry. The hotel restaurant was excellent, and the buffet breakfast was extensive and featured local delicacies from Bohol - something new every morning. The staff were so gracious and accommodating. I would return to Bohol just to stay at Modala again!

Beautiful resort, peaceful and well maintained. The team working there were friendly and accommodating, the amenities were great and the beach was lovely. Would highly recommend.

Our room far exceeded expectations, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Room service was efficient, and both the food and drinks were exceptional. Above all, the staff made our stay unforgettable — we felt genuinely cared for by everyone. A destination we’d happily return to annually.

The room where they assigned us was so close to the hotel lobby and it was loud. I woke up from my sleep from the noise.

If you want to stay away from the hassle and buzzle, this is the place to be. My husband and I love the privacy and quietness of the place. The staff service is awesome.

Reception desk staff must be trained to treat all customers equally, koreans or not.

I’d to book 3 rooms last minute as our flight got delayed by one day. The staff is excellent, the front desk even went out of their way to make room suggestions. The rooms are very clean, spacious, bathrooms are excellent and the A/C (mini split) works as designed. The private beach is clean, infinity pool looks amazing and the Koi fish in the lobby was such a nice surprise. Excellent resort.
