Colony House Motor Lodge

The renovation created a really cool art deco vibe that is uncommon for motels. Super, super clean and it was very convenient to parts of Roanoke that we needed to see. I'd 100% stay here again.

Beautifully redone rooms that are spacious and with basic conveniences. Retro, clean vibe-love that it’s not carpet! Staff is amazing and very welcoming. Even though it is close to the street, the traffic noise isn’t too bad. Very well lit and safe feel with great food options all around. Will definitely stay here again if in the area!

This was the COOLEST stay. We happened upon this cute little hotel while passing through. So happy we did. It has just been redone and the touches are fabulous. Everything is so cute and very comfortable. We love roadtrips and finding this little gem was one of our most memorable stops.

This hotel was absolutely fabulous! It was a perfect stop en route to the mountains in NC and the design is impeccable! They really nailed the mid-century modern roadside motel motif -it was perfect and functional without being overdone. It was perfect for a roadtrip getting to pull up to our room to unload. The staff was very accommodating for our pets as well. We will absolutely stay again.

Felt so welcoming and the rooms were clean and quiet. Bottles of water were available and a huge shower.

Nice, clean, with fun retro vibe. Beds are very comfortable! Staff are friendly and check-in/check-out process was super easy. Very quiet and safe. Second time we’ve stayed there in the past month, and would definitely recommend!

As former visitors of the Colony House before our move to Roanoke, we were thrilled the motel was saved and renovated in a return to its former glory. We and some friends staycationed there this past week, and had a glorious time. The AGM greeted us warmly, made us feel welcome from the minute we entered the checkin. The lobby and lounge are beautiful and comfortable. We spent the afternoon by the refreshing pool. Our room was such a terrific throwback with its gorgeous Mid-Century Modern styling (while also reflecting modern conveniences). Every staff member we encountered this weekend was friendly and personable.

We will gladly make this little escape many times more!

Clean. Convenient. Economical

We loved our stay at the newly renovated motel. It was a nostalgic experience for us as we had stayed there as kids. Great food options in walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved it!
