Hotel Byond Khiva

It is a new hotel. The property is in a good condition and clean. Affordable option. It is a fair distance away from the centre of Khiva. The buses kept giving variable rates to get into the centre which wasn't helpful and I found this a bit stressful. It is near a theme park which has potential but is not really open properly but quite interesting for a potter around.

Our room upon check in had a bathroom that was not yet washed with a very dirty toilet. We told the front staff and they quickly had it cleaned. The end result was still not very clean. After a few hours we noticed a few crickets and beetles coming in. We removed those bugs and left for the day. Coming back the room had consistent bugs coming in, to the point where we had asked to pull the beds away from the wall. Front desk was very helpful and apologetic and mentioned to us that all the rooms are having bug issues due to the nearby swamp and we should sleep with the lights on so they don’t come out as much. With it being 2 am, moving hotels wasn’t an option so we thought to make the best of the night. The shower head was not connected to the wall and the drain for the shower drained so slow that the bathroom would be flooded if the shower continued. We went to front desk and asked to go to an upper floor so we could shower. Going up the flight of stairs the crickets were so loud in the walls and going into the room the bathroom was so loud like the crickets were right there. The second bathroom also had a toilet that was not well cleaned and we took it upon our self to clean the thick urine build up. Over all this hotel is unfortunate as it is a brand new build and beautiful property. If the housekeeping would be able to improve as well as get an exterminator it would have been a great stay. The staff were very helpful and very sorry for the inconveniences.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, who provided all the necessary information and handed me the key to my room.

The room itself was clean, comfortable, and equipped with reliable Wi-Fi — perfect for both rest and work. Breakfast was served from 7 to 10 a.m., offering great flexibility for early risers and late sleepers alike.

Although the hotel does not have a gym, the excellent service more than made up for it. The receptionist kindly arranged a taxi for me and even scheduled a wake-up call at 6 a.m., which was right on time.

I truly appreciate the high level of hospitality and care shown during my stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again in the future. Highly recommend
