Professional property host/manager
Staff was fantastic! Would highly recommend! Great place to stay!
The hostal is terrible we needed to walk up through the stairs four floors with the baggage. Area unsafe, very old and smell so bad. The only good thing was the location. I would recommend to look some options around that would be much better at the same or better price.
Amazing place to stay. The staff was courteous, place was very clean, everything within walking distance.
Highly recommend
We had a great stay at Hostal Ambos Mundos! We were right in the gothic quarter surrounded by tons of shops and restaurants, with La Rambla right down the street. Everything was walking distance for us including the beach and Gaudi buildings. As for the hotel, it was very cute and cozy with a friendly staff. Also the property is staffed 24/7 so we felt safe and without fear of being accidentally locked out. Despite being in a very central area, our room was super quiet and we were able to rest peacefully each night. Keep in mind there are no elevators but that was not an issue for us!
check-in was a bit wonky as it requires WhatsApp to check-in. I guess for us that did not have WhatsApp, it was messy. We had to download the app and even then it was not seamless.
Yes
Property feels new. Entry is a common one that needs to be remodeled, but once you are inside the hotel all is good and new. Try Ocana, the Drag Queen host/mangers are a hoot. Tapas there and everywhere in area are amazing. Sangia amazing at Ocana’s also.
Great location. Centre og gothic area.
The room was just what we wanted. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the balcony looked right onto the Plaza. The location is ideal next to La Rambla with easy access to restaurants, bars and shopping. Amazing stay.
Çalışanlar harika
Staff was remarkable and made our stay a real pleasure!
Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Barcelona! It's located in the Gothic Quarter steps from shopping, dozens of cafes and restaurants, and only 2 blocks from Mercat de la Boqueria! It's also very close to transit - we took the train from the airport and it dropped us off a 4 min walk away. I always felt very safe leaving things in the room, as well as walking around near the hotel even into the wee hours of the morning. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful - and all spoke fluent English. The front desk is manned 24/7 and there are pin pads to access your room with personalized codes for each guest - and even an online link that will unlock doors with the click of a button. There was free water available in the lobby as well as fruit and snacks like muffins. We got to the hotel a few hours before check-in in but they had our room ready early and let us check in. Like most buildings in the Gothic Quarter, the hotel building is very old so no elevators. If you have lots of luggage be prepared to carry it up a few flights of stairs. The inside of the hotel is beautifully newly renovated tho! If I ever come back to Barcelona I hope to be able to stay here again!
The hotel is on the 3rd floor, NO elevator.
Rooms are VERY small. Yoi can can hear people very clearly in the room. We woken up multiple tilmes at night. The bathroom door would not close.
Everything was very clean in the room.
Great location and very cool design
Great personal, everyone was really friendly.
The entrance is a little tricky to find but the staff were really helpful and friendly. We were given an excellent lunch venue recommendation when we checked in. We had three of us staying in the one room (all adults) and it worked perfectly.
I did my first solo trip, and staying here was perfect!! It was in the middle on the plaza reial, so people were always outside dinning, and it always felt safe. Would recommend to anyone solo traveling or traveling in general!
Actually i've been in BCN for 2 week and i stayed for 3 days here!! It was wonderful and so kind staffs!! Thank you so much for providing high quality services
Camera pulita e personale molto competente
I recently stayed for six nights at the
Hostal Ambos Mudos in the Gothic Quarter of beautiful Barcelona. I was initially a bit nervous when I realized that I hadn’t actually booked into a hotel but rather a hostel. Luckily, my concerns immediately disappeared, as I soon discovered that this was more of a hybrid style hostel with, if I’m not mistaken, twelve completely private, individual rooms, several of which that have balconies directly overlooking the beautiful
Plaça Reial. In short, my stay at the
Hostal Ambos Mundos was absolutely fantastic!
The small staff were extremely polite and helpful in every way possible, the rooms were smallish but clean and modern feeling, the bathroom was very nice with a luxuriously large shower head, and my bed was as comfortable as can be.
Also, of importance in a big city full of tourists and the possibility of tourist related crime, was that the hostel / hotel felt extremely safe and secure, requiring a code to enter the building at the base floor, a code to entry the hostel itself, and then of course, a room code, all of which were the same.
And of equal importance, the front desk is staffed 24/7, so that at no time did I feel that the security of the building was ever compromised.
To be clear, this isn’t a high end, luxury hotel, but rather something quite nice, simple, affordable, and safe. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to any traveler who just wants a comfortable room in a beautiful part of the city.
