Pros:

Wir hatten einen wirklich sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und können es insgesamt absolut weiterempfehlen.

Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die hervorragende Lage – besser geht es kaum. Die Straßenbahnhaltestelle befindet sich direkt nebenan und auch der Galataport ist in unmittelbarer Nähe, was den Aufenthalt sehr bequem und entspannt gemacht hat.

Ein großes Lob geht an das gesamte Personal. Vom Empfang bis hin zum Reinigungsteam waren alle durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich. Man wurde jederzeit mit einem Lächeln begrüßt und hatte stets das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. Auch bei einem kurzfristigen Stromausfall wurde sofort reagiert und sich umgehend darum gekümmert – sehr professionell.

Die Sauberkeit im Hotel war insgesamt sehr gut. Besonders positiv ist uns aufgefallen, dass die Handtücher täglich gewechselt wurden.

Ein kleiner Verbesserungspunkt wäre aus unserer Sicht die Reinigung des Badezimmerbodens, der während unseres Aufenthalts nicht regelmäßig gereinigt wurde. Für uns war das kein großes Problem, da wir nur wenige Tage dort waren und entsprechend vorbereitet waren, aber für andere Gäste könnte das eventuell relevanter sein.

Abgesehen davon waren wir rundum zufrieden und würden dieses Hotel bei einem erneuten Aufenthalt in Istanbul definitiv wieder buchen.

Would stay here again!
Pros:

Booked a superior double room, which they gave a lovely corner room. More than enough space as a solo traveller. Shower pressure was great. Right beside a gas station for convenience items, tram at your doorstep that takes you directly to blue mosque, and 10 minute walk to Karakoy ferry terminal that I took to get to Kadikoy, or you can get off at the first stop Eminonu ferry to then take another ferry to the princess islands. Otherwise 25 minute walk easy walk opposite direction to dolmabahce palace, Kabatas ferry terminal to go to princess islands directly. 20 minute walk to taksim square. Safe area and lots of restaurants nearby. All staff are friendly and willing to help. They gave me lots of options to book excursions. Did an evening dinner bhosporus tour 40 euros with pickup and drop off at hotel.

Cons:

Can’t control this but club nearby so can hear the noise during the weekend and also right beside a mosque and so woke up to the prayers early morning. Didn’t mind either.

Excellent stay at the heart of the city with good price / performance ratio!
Pros:

The location near Galataport and the cleanliness of the rooms were exceptional. The Bosphorus view is just a few steps away (we also took Bosphorus boat tours near Galataport), and the lively street with bars is perfect for evening drinks and relaxation. The staff was consistently helpful and friendly- Ibrahim at reception was particularly accommodating with flexible 24/7 check-in and check-out times. The price-to-performance ratio was excellent. Highly recommended for tourists who want to visit Istanbul and stay close to the historical center!
Note: Unlike many hotels in this price range, they also provide a small refrigerator, safe box, and unlimited complimentary water, coffee, and tea with a kettle in the room. Rooms were cleaned daily with great attention to detail.

Cons:

Overall, we stayed without any notable complaints. We really enjoyed our stay at Galata Fil Hotel without encountering any problems and considering coming back :)

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. All 3 of the front desk staff we encountered went out of their way to assist us. Anil, Abrahim and others provided great recommendations and the Hamam that Anil booked for us was exquisite. The cleaning ladies were friendly and helpful and kept our room well stocked and clean.

The location was also perfect. We were able to walk to all of the top attractions and quickly learned to enjoy everything the immediate neighborhood offered. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
