The Fox Hall Inn

What a lovely place to stay. A convenient location on the A66 (near to Scotch Corner). Beatiful views from the back of the hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful from start to finish.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meals in the bar area.

Rooms were nice and comfortable with a very spacious bathroom and great shower.

The only downside was that we were in Room 8 which was above the kitchen which was a bit on the noisey side.

Will definitely use again but would bring ear plugs next time.

Both the staff and food were outstanding will definitely be going back many thanks to everyone involved x

Was allowed yo check in early then we could get on with our day.The room was lovely and very clean. The breakfast hamper was amazing everything in it was fresh and well presented.

Clean and tidy inn with excellent food. Only down side was no cooked breakfast, but saying that breakfast in a hamper was different and had enough choice for us. Would stay again.

An absolute gem beside the A66.The room was so nice with a huge bathroom & comfortable big bed.The decor of the bar & restaurant was very tasteful & had a cosy feel.
The staff couldn’t do enough.

Lovely little Inn. A last minute booking, found the staff very warm and accommodating. Room was large and spacious. Very clean. Lovely bathroom. All the usually amenities. Fab continental breakfast selection brought to the room at a time of our choosing. Cant find any fault.

I thought it was a full cooked breakfast, it was just in a box, left outside room, cereals etc. Matress was horrendous, springs poking everywhere

We really enjoyed our stay at The Fox Hall Inn. Our room was modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable, good value for money, and the free continental breakfast (delivered to our room) was an added bonus!
The staff were welcoming and attentive and it was the perfect stop off for a couple of nights whilst visiting Barnard Castle, about 10 minutes away by car.
I think a car would be needed to reach the property, but I am unsure of the local bus service.
A super hotel which we would use again and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Good overnight stop to break a journey. On A66 but room at back was quiet. Rooms very nice and well appointed. Lovely friendly staff. Would certainly use again.
Breakfast hamper at room very nice.

Super staff, spotless and comfortable room… I had a quiet and very restful sleep. I also had a very nice dinner at the restaurant as well. Breakfast was delivered properly and was very tasty – I would stay here again!

Large room with newly fitted bathroom

Well presented hotel that is easy to find on main A66. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a really decent rain shower.
Food in restaurant was excellent with a good choice.
Decent choice of drinks available.
Lucy who greeted us was excellent.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Lovely food in the bar/restaurant. The room itself was modern, and good facilities were provided
Our bedroom was on the A66 roadside. Despite the double glazing, we still found it a little noisy. Some further secondary galzing could perhaps help?

Lovely clean and big room although no chairs in the room. Shower head needs refitting as it clearly had a leak....this did not stop us using it.
Some road noise which was to be expected on the busy A66. Again didn't impact too much.
Breakfast provided was a Hamper which was lovely but if no cooked breakfast then we felt it should be clearly stated on the notes.
Restaurant food was nice but limited if you are vegetarian.
All in all it is a lovely hotel and we would stay again.

Lovely room, very light and airy with no noise from the road. Lots of parking options and restaurant is lovely downstairs. They accommodated our request to check in early which was very kind.

Every aspect of our stay was considered and then communicated with us. I have allegies and the chef drove to a local shop (after dinner service) to ensure I had choices for breakfast. The whole team were so flexible and understanding
