Underbemannat, men bra hotell!
Pros:

Ironman Kona
Pros:

2 BR condo was clean and comfortable with deck overlooking the ocean and small pool. No beach. About a two mile walk to town, restaurants, and Ironman activities. $50 cab ride to airport. $8 cab ride to village. Good idea to bring some food with you when arriving if at night, since 4 miles RT walk to get food and bring it home.

not friendly
Pros:

The hotel was nice but way overpriced. I had asked for a later check out time and was told I could stay later but then the next day was told I had to be out be 11am. I had a wedding to attend at 3pm that day. Not worth what I paid. I wouldn't have stayed there if I knew I had to be out by 11am. The bedrooms where next to the parking lot so it was loud. But the rooms where very clean

We got a great room! But it's not a great place.
Pros:

Our room was great. We were on the second floor near the ocean - so we had a great ocean view and the sounds of crashing surf.... As many have said, there is no air conditioning so it can get hot in the room (and we were there mid-October). Unfortunately this also means that many people leave all their doors and windows open - and it gets noisy! So we ended up sleeping on the Murphy bed in the living room with the sliding glass door open so we could hear the sounds of crashing surf rather than the noise of neighbors. I'm not sure how you'd sleep if you had a unit further from the ocean or on the ground floor.... It's a no-frills place, but that was what we wanted. It was more like having our own apartment for the trip.

wonderful vacation
Pros:

This was the third leg of our Hawaiian vacation, with my daughter's wedding on the beach being the final event. The condo and the grounds were great. Air conditioning would have made it perfect but the ceiling fans helped. The location was perfect, being right on Alii. Shopping and restaurants were close. We had the two bedroom unit, with laundry and good sized kitchen. We would definitely rent this one again.

Großzügig geräumige Appartments mit Küche, Waschmaschine u. Trockner
Pros:

Great place for a large family on a budget
Pros:

Full kitchen/4 beds/barbeque area/view/pool and hottub I have stayed three times this past spring and summer, in various untis at this hotel/condo. It comfortably sleeps 6 people. Main bedroom is a queen with full bath, second bedroom has 2 twin beds, and the living room has a queen murphy bed with an excellent mattress! It is always clean, has a pleasing view of the ocean and barbeque area and landscaping. There is a washer and dryer in the unit (soap available for purchase at the front desk). The staff is very friendly and helpful, ready to tell you what is available to do on the island. There is a small coffee shop in the parking lot and there is ample free parking. The pool is a comfortable size with a clean, well taken care of bathroom/dressing room and plenty of lounge chairs and tables. The only drawback of this place is the road noise at night. Alii Drive is busy all night long and both bedroom windows face it. It is not a fancy place, but if you are looking for something clean and comfortable on a budget, this place is tops!
