We did not stay. The hotel was really a motel which was rundown, not well lit, broken window, and a room that was not livable. It seemed neglected.
The area was scary. We had a random man stand outside our door several times who left the door handle wet. Looked like where drug deals happen. When checking in we also were asked to pay a $50 Cash deposit that was not specified anywhere in the booking. I felt it was a money laundering business
Heat and air did not function, TV did not function, floor was dirty.
The Indian lady at the register asked to pay a $50 deposit ONLY in cash!!! Why cash only? So that they can skip paying tax in case you don't get the deposit back??
Anyways the room was clean and bed was comfy, but no closet to put away clothes. No hair dryer, no iron for clothes.
And the area is horrible. Bunch of homeless people were just hanging out in front of my room. So loud! So many homeless just walking around the property. Although the room was non-smoking, we could still smell weed from the people standing outside and smoking. The overall experience was horrible. Not safe at all!
I would never come back here.
The property needs to complete its renovation. The floors were in disrepair. The rooms were acceptable
The check in was late and I had to pay a50$ cash deposit. I had to walk due to their atm not working
I travel frequently. It was my first time in Memphis. I was told the area was not safe. I guess those people have not traveled much because not only was it safe, but it was also quiet, and aside from the clientele that seemed to live there, an unfortunate sign of the times, i had a great time. Room was comfy, clean, and convenient to food and shopping.
Toliet wouldn't flush due to previous guest truned off water. After turning back on we understood why. Leeked and screeched all night. Also was not told when booked about cash deposit. Will not be back!!
The property felt completely unsafe and filthy. A room shown to us smelled like an ash tray. There were multiple cars that appeared abandoned. The reception was behind a wall and a very thick glass giving you the impression of experienced violence. I would not recommend this hotel to even an enemy. It should NOT be listed on expedia as it sets a very bad example of something for people to choose from your site.
N/A
Cheapeast one intown. Quiet thru the night and polite staff
The photos and reviews online are NOT accurate. Needle covers all over. No cement/asphalt surround. Huge broken window at the office covered with tape. While I was inside the ‘lobby’ which one had to be ‘buzzed’ in my husband was asked if he wanted drugs. The buzzer to enter didn’t work so the guy had to come physically open each time. I made several entries. Smelled the room before I entered. Absolutely did not touch anything. Went back to the lobby and again waited for him to open door and requested refund. The guy stated that he gave me the last smoking room because that was the most popular. Requested a refund. Said only the manager can and he works til 1pm. He would not refund. He said try another room which was ‘no smoking’ toilet was running nonstop and it was from a horror show. Again said refund my money. He would not. Said I will dispute with my credit card company. He and his Lon, dirty nails returned my ‘receipt’. Do NOT stay here. Photos are from the opening. Reviews seem to be super fake.Memphis is awesome and there are sooo many terrific places to stay! We love Memphis!
This is more like motel! Do so get what you pay
I saw the police coming during the night and random people were knocking all the doors in the middle of the night so be careful if you decided to stay there! In my personal opinion this is a place where is you last choice if you don’t have enough money
This motel is
The tone of voice of the receptionist not nice when I did the check in.
Easy the check out, thanks!
The property is clean and it is a very peaceful place
Good service
