Best staff, food and service
shower disappointing and wouldn’t be very good for anyone taller than me at 5 foot! But bed was comfy and room was clean
Staff was very helpful. Hotel is perfectly positioned. On site parking was a boon. Breakfast set us up for a whole day. Room was very dusty unfortunately with quite a few cobwebs but that wouldn't stop me from coming here again.
Hotel was lovely.
Public places and rooms were lovely.
Breakfast was lovely
Staff were great.
Only little gripe was although sharing a room a friend and myself both had to pay for parking..came from different parts of the country.
Great stay x
Very nice one night stay with a friend. The location was perfect, very central. Bar was lovely and we spent some time in there before checking in. Room was fine with everything we needed. The room was uncomfortably hot when we returned from our evening with no way to open the window. Turned off the radiator but it didn't really cool down and was very stuffy. Also slightly inconvenient that the lights were either all on or all off, with no option to just have the bedside lights on, but that was only a very minor thing. Service was interesting - gentleman who checked us in could not have been more friendly and helpful, really good. But a second gentleman who took over reception and the bar later was surly and monosyllabic at best, to the point where it felt awkward to ask for anything. May just have been his natural manner, but not great for a customer facing role. Breakfast was fine, nobody greeted us or gave any guidance though, and my friend was asked if she would like gluten free toast with her cooked breakfast, which was good. I also ordered a cooked breakfast and the server didn't mention toast, so I assumed that as I didn't require gluten free, that meant it would just arrive, but I wasn't actually given any, which was a bit odd. Having parking was very convenient, but a bit steep at £12. Good value for money otherwise, but a bit more care from some staff would be good.
