It was very clean and quite charming. Great location, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and historic sites. Highly recommend.
I should add that, based on the description, I was expecting a room in a house but mine turned out to be a separate apartment with its own entrance. While I appreciated the privacy and direct street access, the room was darker than I had expected from the photos and also noisier since right on the street. I was out most of the day so the lack of light turned out to be less of an issue and the street noise was more bothersome the first couple of nights when I was also terribly jetlagged!

We never had hot water. But loved the place

Amazing experience, I love it no complaints. I’m from patillas and husband is from Dominican Republic and he live everything about Puerto Rico. He wants to come back. This time I am bringing my children. We will see you again soon. Thank you so much. God bless

safe quiet walkable & convenient

I live in Luquillo and visit Old San Juan regularly. I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs and several of the hotels and other suite style accommodations. By a landslide Casa Lucienne wins all the awards for my husband and I!!! Don’t let the street/curb appeal fool you into thinking this is just another typical rental property. Once inside the doors, the elegance is captivating and beyond romantic. The detail put into designing n decorating the entire building still has me in awe! What an inspiring place to spend the weekend; we will surely be back soon. Staying in the Lucienne Suite with a private tub on the balcony made it oh so difficult to even want to venture out to the city!!!! From the bathtub I could see part of the fort, it felt so magical! 10/10 totally recommend… side notes: the cleanliness of the room, balcony, and all the common areas of the property was incomparable to all the other places I’ve stayed. And the king size bed has a mattress suitable for royalty. There was no issues with water temp nor pressure (like many other properties in OSJ). I know I live in paradise here already…but Casa Lucienne brings the island of PR to another level of paradise!!!!

My gf and I stayed here for the Bad Bunny concert, we got the apartment option so it was separate but right next to the hotel with our own entrance.

Overall location is convenient, walkable to all things Viejo San Juan, lots of restaurants nearby. While it’s located near everything it is separate enough to not get a lot of foot traffic, so it’s nice and quiet and I didn’t have any safety concerns.

I loved the theme of our room it was stocked with the regular essentials. Since it is Viejo San Juan there is not the best air conditioner and the room can get a little humid. The room had an air conditioner installed but it stayed at about 25º c / 77º f. They do have fans so it helps however our paper tickets and passports became soggy. The apartment had a kitchenette which was functional, they stocked it again with all the essentials as well.

Only recommendations I would make are a better mattress for the bed and small black out curtains for the windows at the top of the doors. The room doesn’t stay dark as the sun rises and if you need complete darkness to stay asleep this is inconvenient.

The actual hotel is beautiful as well, 4 floors including a basement and a rooftop area. There is an indoor pool. They have the absolute best coffee we have ever tried made by Kaylin. She was the staff we interacted the most with and she is very kind and welcoming.

Highly recommend would love to stay again when we come back :)

I understand the hotel has its old feel but needs some upgrades. The rooms need an upgrade of hooks to hang wet towels in the restroom (for more then 1 person) and better in room lighting. It would be nice to have a tv maybe in the room we stood at as well. As well as have beach towels available per person. In addition it would be nice to be able to access the microwave. Other than that I loved the hotel. The esthetic are beautiful and it definitely gives a nice calm ambiance.

Gorgeous building and decor. Very quiet for the area while still close to all the bars and restaurants. All the staff I interacted with were very friendly and professional. The room was beautiful but no place to hang clothes. We also wanted to have breakfast on our last day but there was no one around unfortunately. We did request housekeeping which was great. Would still stay here again and recommend!

Our stay was perfect! The house has a real sense of classic charm and authentic style, full of character in every corner. You can truly see the attention to detail in every space. The location was ideal—close enough to enjoy all the great sights and activities, yet far enough to escape the noise and crowds. But what truly made our stay exceptional was Kayleen, the manager—she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, always friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. She made us feel less like guests and more like family.
