I was charged twice
The beds (2 bunk bed sets) had no bedding on them; bare of sheets. The room was not clean The whole condition of the place was unkept
There a population of homeless people living up and down the street. It seemed unsafe.
Bare bones, low-cost, but clean and satisfactory Tenderloin hotel. Far more personality than you'll find in your standard Motel 6 type establishment.
There is no bathroom within the unit. There appeared to be about 1 or 2 bathrooms per floor (~20 units). Those bathrooms seemed to be pretty inconsistent in terms of locks. But within each bathroom there's a toilet area and a shower area. Things were surprisingly clean when I was there. This could probably be a problem if there were too many people using the bathroom at once, but for a one-night stay, it was fine.
As another review pointed out, there's no AC, and no screen on the windows, so it won't be ideal for a summer heatwave. However, there is a heater. We went in September though, so there was no need for either.
Bedsheets were all clean and nice. Being able to look out the window at the busy streets of San Francisco was pretty exciting. There's a cafe, a falafel place, multiple corner stores, and much more, immediately outside the hotel. There's also a parking garage around the corner. The hotel was very secure, and only guests were allowed to enter. I love how classic and SF the narrow staircases and stuff were.
And yes, there are homeless people in the Tenderloin. Grow up.
Overall, definitely satisfactory for a single-night San Francisco trip. But know what you're getting, and don't expect Hilton level amenities.
Nice, thank you
Room was simple but clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fridge and microwave provided. Good value for proximity to Union Square. Be aware the street is sketchy at times, but security is good and only 2 blocks to restaurants and shopping.
Yes
Just a place to sleep in bunk bed. Elevator y
Shared bathrooms with other tenants I just went somewhere else instead
When we arrived there were so many homeless people harassing me I ended up not being able to check in. They were crowded around the hotel door. Very scary
Horrible place. I’m warning you this place is terrible and NOT SAFE!
DO NOT STAY HERE. It is not safe. The guy running this place is a dirty creep. You are safer sleeping on the street.
Worst place ever
You are better off staying on the streets
Do Not Book here! It is the worse! Dude running the place is a nasty thief creep. Rooms smell like pee and it is so unsafe.
I didn’t even entered the hotel seen the condition of it.
Nice staff, good service, area is a little sketchy, but it doesn’t seem that anybody will mess with you
It's a great group. The neighborhood is safe and my family will make sure you are taken care of no matter what. San Francisco is my home. It's the type of place where you walk around at 3am and people just want to help.
Less than bare minimum for a hotel room! The room was 90 with no AC while it was 60 degrees outside. There was a single usable outlet for the whole room, the cracked window opened but no screen so bugs would fly in if you choose to open it to try to cool your room off, there's a TV but no reception, a sink but only a community bathroom, barking dogs from down the hall despite the no pet policy, the hotel number doesn't work so don't waste your time trying to call, homeless people craping feet from the front door!
The room was clean. The shower was hot. The staff were really friendly and accomodating. I will definitely be back
It’s was Horrible people passed out right in front the building, using drugs. Upon check in we were told the tv was not working and wouldn’t be working our entire stay mini fridge and microwave on the floor. Internet was also down
