Excellent Stay – Wonderful Staff!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed.

Our room was spotless and very comfortable, and it was cleaned thoroughly every single day, which we really appreciated. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping everything fresh and tidy.

Overall, the service was outstanding and the staff truly made our stay enjoyable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with amazing customer service!

Great attention

Staff were amazing even with us speaking different languages, they still helped with whatever I needed help with. Quiet location, just didn’t like that I was on a floor with cigarette smoke but I noticed everywhere in China has that.. Rooms are small but I traveled solo so I made it work.

The hotel had some positives to it. But would like to highlight that the location is a bit far from the Metro and city centre. Attentive and accommodating staffs and the housekeepers.
Sometimes at night there was a weird pungent smell going around. Overall 8/10

THE CLEANER CHANGED ALL THE BED CLOTHES AND IMPROVED IT.
FRONT DESK NO ENGLISH SPOKEN BUT OVERALL GOOD FRIENDLY STAFF

We stayed here for a night as we were transiting through Shanghai for our flight. It was quite difficult to locate the hotel on Amap due to the lack of Chinese name of the hotel and address on Expedia and the hotel did not respond to our messages for directions and for the hotel name (景莱酒店 民和路）and address in Chinese. The hotel is also located at an intersection so there was no easy spot for taxi drop off and pick up. It is also about 15 mins from the closest metro station. The hotel room we were allocated had a stench and we had to keep the windows open throughout our stay to ventilate the room. We were also locked out of our hotel room by noon despite the check out time being listed as 1pm on Expedia - The staff explained that the check out time for the hotel is actually noon and can be extended to 1pm if needed and to 2pm as well depending on guests’ needs. It was super confusing. This hotel is only acceptable if one has low expectations on a short stay.

Room

Property listing stated that smoking was not permitted. After checking in I was assigned a room that reeked of cigarette smoke, and the windows were opened in a poor attempt to air it out. Cancelled my stay on the spot, but neither the hotel nor Hotels.com would refund the money for the nights I did not use. Neither would adhere to the agreed change/cancellation policy. I do not intend to use Hotels.com to book my hotels ever again.
