Pros:

We had our first family trip to Japan and stayed in Marumi for one week - it definitely exceeded our expectations. We didn't meet any of the staff in person however they always responded to messages within minutes if we had any questions. The family room was spacious, immaculately clean, and so comfortable, had amazing sleep every night. It is right by the Yamanote line so easy to get around Tokyo. A quieter neighborhood which was perfect to wind down, and short walk to Ueno park! Will stay here again on our next trip.

Highly recommend — request a lower floor if you have a lot of luggage
Pros:

The location of the hotel is good. It’s a 2-minute walk from the nearest station and roughly a 10–15 minute walk from Ueno’s main station, as well as the local shopping and dining areas. The area is not too crowded, but there are still many good restaurants and shops in central Ueno.
The check-in process was convenient — we were sent the door code to enter the property. There are also locks and chains available at the reception for you to secure your luggage yourself.
The room is spacious, very clean, and feels quite new. The bathroom is also large and divided into two areas, which allows two or more people to use it at the same time.
There is no staff at the reception, but when we requested an iron, it was provided within 5–10 minutes.

Cons:

There is no elevator, which was mentioned in advance, but it can still be inconvenient when carrying heavy luggage (e.g. 23kg) up and down.

Wonderful stay in Tokyo
Pros:

Location was super convenient near the metro and the place was large. We had separate bedroom areas and the set up of the shower/laundry room was not in the same room as the sink and toilet area, so it was easy to get ready with 4 people.

Cons:

One bedroom was near a somewhat busy street so it was not as quiet as thought. But they do provide ear plugs, so grab some for your room if needed.

Clean, modern apartment in the great location.
Pros:

A very spacious unit in the heart of Tokyo. Very close to the train station, on the JR Yamanote line (perfect for exploring the Tokyo attractions). Walking distance to Ueno Park and Ueno restaurants. There are also many convenience stores and restaurants in the vicinity. The unit has coffee/tea facilities and a small fridge. There is a washing machine, although towels are changed daily on request.

Cons:

The checking-in procedure. No lift.

It felt like abandoned. Neighborhood red light district , barely any place to find food or restaurant after 20:00

Cons:

Cold , impossible to warm up or use the heater . We were cold constantly. I in general don’t our room warm but this was not easy to bare . Try to contact the management ( possible by email only ) got directed to the very basic hand manual in the room . There isn’t any cleaning service what so ever . After 3 nights needed some help . Therefor I find it to expensive for what you get we paid way to high for what we got . For this price better off in a Hotel . I would never recommend this place to any one .

Pros:

Great location, generous space with comfortable beds and esthetic style. In house washer/dryer is a plus. Despise no on site staffs, the communication via message with the staffs is prompt and efficient.

Jeden z lepszych noclegów w Tokyo.
Pros:

Czysto, nowy hotel, ekspres do kawy, zestaw kosmetyków, piękny wystrój japoński, oczyszczacz powietrza + klimatyzacja. Świetna lokalizacja bardzo blisko stacja metra (zielona). Kolejnym dużym plusem była Pralko-suszarka! Jeden z lepszych noclegów jaki mieliśmy w Japonii a było ich trochę :) Uprzejmy właściciel - zrozumiał Nasze potrzeby i bardzo pomógł ostatniego dnia przy wymeldowaniu. Bardzo polecam - za rok chętnie wrócimy ponownie!
