Cleanliness
1
Mixed reports: several guests describe rooms as spotlessly clean or 'super clean', but multiple reviews mention dirty water in the shower, cracked tiles with a protruding nail, and an overall run-down/abandoned appearance—net slightly negative.
Service
1
Generally positive mentions of staff being helpful and friendly; a few reports of indifferent management (ignored complaints) and a receptionist asking a guest to help open a door, but overall staff helpfulness is a consistent pro.
Location
1
Repeatedly described as a good/convenient location by several guests; safe with big parking mentioned, though one guest noted postcode confusion leading to wrong directions.
Room Quality
1
Several complaints about heaters not working, noisy environment (late-night noise, pump noise from 5am), inconsistent shower performance (no hot water, low pressure, dirty water), flickering lights and mattress issues—overall room quality is notably below expectations.
Amenities
1
Many missing or limited amenities: no restaurant/bar currently open, no lift, limited tea/coffee provisions (no tea bags), faulty locks, occasional no hot water—amenities are inadequate for some guests.
Value for Money
1
Several guests call it cheap, good value or excellent price and praise cleanliness for the price; one mention of costly dinner, but overall perceived as good value.
Food and Beverage
1
Food/Breakfast availability issues: restaurant often closed, breakfast unclear or unavailable, limited menu choices (comments about menu bias), and no tea bags for non-coffee drinkers—slightly negative.
Overall Experience
1
Mixed overall: some guests enjoyed a clean, comfortable short stay with friendly staff and good value; others report severe disturbances (noise, repeated fire alarms), safety concerns and poor facilities—overall slightly positive due to frequent helpful staff and value comments.

Never returning...
Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

Ripped carpet
Ripped wallpaper
Pubes in the sink
Towels were stained
Sheets were stained slightly

Practice fire alarm went off in the morning with no warning or signs up to warn customers

No water either so couldn't brush teeth had to use a bottle of water

It was like a building yard, we got covered in dust when outside as there was building works going on.

Comfortable stay staff friendly but hotel does need a refresh.
Pros:

Bigger bath towels , I had go and ask for a second one as there was 2 of us staying they left 1 towel in the bathroom but reception did provide another one.

Cons:

It’s passable but the hotel does need update and no phone in the room to call reception that’s basic stuff in any hotel.

Pros:

Good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Little but dated and some construction work is taking place at the time. However it did not bother us.

Low cost for good reason
Pros:

The room was passable

Cons:

I was charged more than the booking site price, outside areas of the hotel look abandoned, the corridor doors outside the room squeaks loudly and next to zero soundproofing so you hear everything! Limited hot water and fire alarms going off through the night.

disappointing for the price, will be going to travel lodge for same price next time
Pros:

Good location for what I needed

Cons:

Carpets in room threadbare in a lot of places. Lots of little moth type insects in the room and in the towels in the bathroom. Mugs by the kettle looked like they hadn't been changed with some residue at the bottom of each. Shower head holder in the shower broken, had to hold the shower head to wash. Towel rail in bathroom just for decoration, wasn't actually plumbed in. Drawer next to sink coated in another person's shave trimmings.

Wouldn't be my first choice
Pros:

Nothing comes to mind.

Cons:

The hotel is extremely tired and even the deluxe room was basic. I would suggest more of a contractors hotel and perfect for this type of cliental. If i were a lone female i would be uncomfortable, the lock on the inside of the room door was what you would find on a bathroom, not very secure in my opinion. It is clean and suits the could arguably be said is fit for purpose, but in hind sight i would have opted elsewhere if not so last minute.
