Mixed reports: several mentions of polite, helpful and attentive staff, but notable check-in problems and staff communication issues (reservation not found, shouting) reduced consistency.

Excellent and exactly waht we needed after a long drive. Great hospitality and a comfortable place.
Pros:

Location was fantastic, tucked away in a beautiful village with wonderful local walks down to the River Nene and woodland. The staff were ultra freindly and very quick to help in anything we asked for. The evening curry meal was a delight and the morning breakfast scrumptious. All in all and lovely quiet stay in a beautiful setting.

Cons:

I guess the only thing would be private parking - there was however plenty of space outside the Inn on the road.

Not worth it at all
Pros:

Location and nothing else

Cons:

1. No proper access into the property - doorbell and had to wait for long. No key given for return to property
2. No fan
3. Garish and stuffy interiors
4. Hotel staff member lives on site walking around in his under pants
5. Parking on the road
We booked it only because we confused it with another hotel called ‘the mill’. Never again!

Perfect Fit for Need
Pros:

Location superb.
Magnificent value.
Friendliness of staff and management, excellent.
Highly responsive and always wanting to help.
Breakfast very enjoyable, fresh and prepared to order.
(Very important to inform the staff at check in if you wish to have a vegetarian option).
An excellent walk in beautiful countryside just moments away.
(Tandoori restaurant available from your bedroom, but we had another engagement).
Cooling fan available in the room to aid restful sleep.
Very quiet and peaceful both inside and outside the accommodation.
Lovely outside garden for drinks.
Close to Bedford, around 20 minutes (we were going to a gig).

Cons:

Little tired inside and outside the room (this did not affect our stay).
Cleanliness was OK, but the room could do with a deep clean periodically.
Parking is on the street only.
Must pre-order special breakfast options.

Wouldn’t stay again.
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

The staff, on meeting the receptionist he couldn’t speak English the key card didn’t work , he rang his boss who was supposed to come and sort it out only worked intermittently, we was locked out at 11 pm the kitchen staff had to let us in,room very tired and needs updating we asked for additional coffee and milk in never came.
Breakfast poor , no tea or coffee just juice , no offer or choice just brought us a cooked breakfast, sausage, egg, tomato, a few mushrooms, spread was already on toast got the feeling they didn’t want to do breakfast.

Beautiful quaint stay
Pros:

Really beautiful old building, with very comfortable rooms, a bar and restaurant if you're there for food. The owner was great and for some petrol money gave us a lift to the event we were going to which was greatly appreciated! Breakfast was a lovely addition too!

Cons:

It was not clear that the parking was on the road but we managed to find somewhere to park
