Beautiful country village location, enjoyed the drive through the countryside to get there.
There is nowhere to relax inside at the bar as it's an Indian restaurant, staff are pushy for you to order food, the only cider on tap was unavailable so I ordered a coke. Refused food 4 times within the first 30mins of being there, asked by waiter/front of house if I liked poppadoms to which I replied yes I do with a chutney tray but made it clear I wasn't hungry as I had a late lunch.
After sitting in the beer garden to catch the sunset (Unkempt, ashtrays overflowing, lots of junk around) I went in to finish my drink, asked if I was ready to eat again! To which I apologised for not having an appetite, the waiter brought poppadoms and chutney tray to my table, I was grateful and thanked him for his kindness and generosity. I eat them and finished my drink to head to my room to relax for the night.
I went to pay my bill and was asked for £11.30!
"For a pint of Cola?" I asked, "and the poppadoms and chutney tray" he said, "but I never ordered those, I thought you brought them as a kind gesture?!" Ended up paying £10!!
Very annoying,! Won't be back!
Comfortable bed lovely room
Breakfast. Having to leave and enter through the restaurant so having to come back before I wanted to because they closed restaurant
Lovely location for walking. Good food in the evening. Good value for money
Set in pretty village. Polite and helpful staff. Comfy bed. Tasty evening meal.
Hotel does not have any parking and a car is the only realistic way to get there. Neighbour from hell opposite ranted that I was blocking his drive (which I wasn't). Room described as deluxe but I would describe as adequate. A case of over promising and under delivering.
The accommodation was exceptional,as was the comfort, the facilities and the staff .
The location is great, nice and rural
No off road parking, although there was plenty of parking on the street.
I had a nap at 5.30pm, which lasted for 4hours, so when I went downstairs to partake of some food, they had closed for the evening including the bar, it was a Monday evening though..
Nice rooms nice staff and resturant curry food was lovely
Could here loud talking from downstairs late on
The location is absolutely beautiful. The host kindly waited for us until late approx until 11pm.
The room had no central heating, when we walked into the room it was freezing cold. The bathroom, no heating and freezing cold.
Breakfast is very poor with the possible cheapest ingredients, and very small portions. No sugar on the table, no coffee machine to get a variety of coffee, just black coffee.
I am a little bit surprised that this place got such high reviews, especially about breakfast.
Avoid it, in all costs!
The staff (Teej in particular,) was very accommodating and friendly and really made our stay comfortable.
No check-in desk availability and waling through the restaurant to check in.
The room was beautiful. With comfy beds and stylish design. The restaurant was very good and we had a very nice curry.
THE BREAKFAST
We were shown to a table, asked if we wanted tea or coffee. After 15 mins 2 breakfasts tuned up(1 fried egg, 1 hash brown, a pot of beans, 1 jumbo sausage cut in half and some mushrooms.) 5 mins after the food came the drinks turned up. After asking the host about toast and bacon he said we never ordered any. We were not given a menu to choose our breakfasts from. I was asked( on my way to the toilet ) how my breakfast was. I told him it was disgusting. When I went back to the table all the staff had disappeared. It really spoiled our stay.
Spacious room, charming building, good food
The helpful welcoming staff
The fact that it was very quiet and listed building, very pleasant surroundings, nice quaint village area bit of the beaten track but just what we needed , nice comfy bed etc
No decaf tea or coffee ! Only one bath towel to which we had to ask for second and wait longer than stated , no toilet paper in public toilet to which I had to ask for again ??
Peace and quiet and tranquil location
Great Indian cuisine on offer in the restaurant.

Polite and helpful staff. Cosy environment. Comfortable bed. Quiet location. Ample size bedroom and nice hot shower. Restaurant well decorated but we didn't eat there.
Nothing we disliked.
