The location is excellent. It is so central and directly opposite the cathedral. There is also parking (£15 per night).
I had to call reception to request a room clean at 4pm and I was informed that they don't clean the rooms every day unless you ask - that was very unusual!

King Lounge & bar were very good and the setting typically old very British style.

Charging £15 per hour beyond 11 am check out, was very stiff, but understandable.
The hotel was situated in a great spot, near to resturants ,shops ,and best off all our room 145 overlooked the cathedral ,parking was only £15 for 24hrs ,giving us plenty off time to have a good look around ,will defo be returning

Location very central yet quiet, apart from antisocial behaviour that seems to be sadly on the increase in Winchester. Spacious and comfortable room with huge bed and great shower.
Small details like bottled water in room for filling kettle, l never use tap water. Local attractions and visitor information usually provided.
Superb location next to cathedral with view from bedroom window. Close to town centre with loads of restaurants and pleasant walks nearby. On-site parking available.
Breakfast at £17.50 was unacceptably expensive!!
The location was great.
Hotel was very run down. Room was unclean, huge cobwebs in corners of room. Stifling hot and provided the most basic fan. Plug sockets were limited, the lamps had their own plugs that didn’t match the UK sockets
The area of the hotel was close to everything. Very well positioned. Nice view of cathedral from the room. Nice size room. Staff was especially nice, helpful and friendly. Loved the cookies, coffee and tea. Breakfast was very nice, however not included in our room.
Our bathroom was large enough and well appointed, however water spills out of the shower every time and causes mildew and mold in shower, on tub sides and grout in tile floor. Bleach or cleaner with bleach in it, such as Clorox Bath cleaner with bleach. Only bleach will kill the mold and mildew as it can make people sick.

The location was central to Winchester, I feel that alone was the only good point.
To be fair the bed was very comfortable.
The say there is no parking at the hotel, however this is a car park under the hotel with a sign "hotel parking"
The hotel for the cost and pictures on booking.com didnt reflect the stay we thought we'd have.
The breakfast staff unhelpful, the coffee was like rocket fuel and undrinkable, the breakfast selection was always missing an item or two.

Absolutely dreadful room and bathroom where the water won't go down the sink due to hair and crap trapped.. Toilet was brown along with bath mat.GROSS floors are sticky...needs a good clean!! Definitely would not recommend.
The view would have been perfect if it wasn’t for the bird poo all over the window. Great location.
Room was horrendously filthy and unsanitary.
