Really dilapidated room, crack in the sink and toilet basin looks like it happened a long time ago.
Central location, but quiet
Dated, bathroom was dirty and in drastic need of replacing. Mould in the toilet and side of the bath. Bath looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly
We liked the overall professional environment from the moment we entered through the main door. The staff had a considerate approach and were efficient throughout.
The decoration and colours around the reception area were welcoming while maintaining good taste appropriate for Winchester area.
The location is great, but that’s about the only positive.
We stayed Saturday night and were told on arrival the restaurant wasn’t open that night.
Our shower leaked all over the bathroom floor (it was a bath/shower)
The foyer is the only fresh area, everywhere else has threadbare carpets, held down with black duct tape.
There was a funky smell which they tried to hide by leaving all the windows cracked, which made everywhere cold and draughty.
The duvet on the double bed didn’t even cover the mattress, let alone the two of us once we underneath it.
The location is excellent. It is so central and directly opposite the cathedral. There is also parking (£15 per night).
I had to call reception to request a room clean at 4pm and I was informed that they don't clean the rooms every day unless you ask - that was very unusual!

King Lounge & bar were very good and the setting typically old very British style.

The hotel was situated in a great spot, near to resturants ,shops ,and best off all our room 145 overlooked the cathedral ,parking was only £15 for 24hrs ,giving us plenty off time to have a good look around ,will defo be returning

Superb location next to cathedral with view from bedroom window. Close to town centre with loads of restaurants and pleasant walks nearby. On-site parking available.

Location very central yet quiet, apart from antisocial behaviour that seems to be sadly on the increase in Winchester. Spacious and comfortable room with huge bed and great shower.
Small details like bottled water in room for filling kettle, l never use tap water. Local attractions and visitor information usually provided.
The location was great.
Hotel was very run down. Room was unclean, huge cobwebs in corners of room. Stifling hot and provided the most basic fan. Plug sockets were limited, the lamps had their own plugs that didn’t match the UK sockets

The area of the hotel was close to everything. Very well positioned. Nice view of cathedral from the room. Nice size room. Staff was especially nice, helpful and friendly. Loved the cookies, coffee and tea. Breakfast was very nice, however not included in our room.
Our bathroom was large enough and well appointed, however water spills out of the shower every time and causes mildew and mold in shower, on tub sides and grout in tile floor. Bleach or cleaner with bleach in it, such as Clorox Bath cleaner with bleach. Only bleach will kill the mold and mildew as it can make people sick.
