It’s a new place, everything is clean and brand new.
Breakfast was really tasty and staff really helpful. The view from the balcony is gorgeous.
The road to the hotel deserves maintainance. It’s not hotels fault , but just be cautious when arriving.
The sound isolation between the rooms could be better . I could hear what our neighbours were talking about
Residence Kazbegi is a very pleasant, clean, modern and well run hotel with good size rooms very well laid out in an attractive minimalist style. The balconies are large enough to sit outside comfortably and provide fantastic, uninterrupted views of Gelerti Monastery and Mount Kazbeg in the distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was generous with a wide range of options available. If returning to Stepantsminda, I would choose this hotel again because it provided everything necessary for an enjoyable stay in the high Caucasus
The hotel is about a ten to fifteen minute walk from the centre of the village, up a pretty steep and tarmac road in poor condition - not really a problem for most people visiting a hiking region but worth mentioning
Beautiful views of the mountains including the church. Each room has a great view.
The room was clean and modern. Wifi mostly worked well. The breakfast area was spacious and comfortable to hang out and work if you need to in the day.
Breakfast was delicious. They had real coffee, not instant which can be hard to find in the area. There were a variety of yogurts, jams, eggs, cheese, pancakes, waffles, kasha, and fruit. The staff let us have coffee a few minutes early before breakfast started.
Nice touches like bathrooms and slippers.
I saw some people ask the staff for custom eggs one day so I don’t know if that’s a regular option. It would be nice if they had a sign.
The room was a very hot, especially at night. I tried leaving the balcony door open but a few bugs would fly in. I suggest adding a fan to the room or a screen door since there’s no air conditioning.
For the price of the room, they could add a few more toiletries likes conditioner and lotion.
It is uphill, about a 15 minute walk from the centre. Although that’s why the views are so good.

Nous avons passé une excellente nuit au Residence Kazbegi. L’hôtel est idéalement situé pour découvrir la région et profiter des magnifiques paysages de Kazbegi.
Notre chambre offrait une vue exceptionnelle sur l’église de Gergeti Sameba et les montagnes environnantes. Se réveiller avec un panorama aussi spectaculaire a rendu notre séjour encore plus mémorable.
La chambre était très propre, confortable, bien équipée et parfaitement calme. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la qualité de la literie, qui nous a permis de passer une excellente nuit.
Le personnel a été très accueillant, souriant et toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions. Leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme ont été très appréciés.
Même pour un court séjour, nous avons été pleinement satisfaits de notre expérience. Nous recommandons vivement le Residence Kazbegi à tous ceux qui souhaitent séjourner à Kazbegi. Merci à toute l’équipe pour son accueil chaleureux !
The scenery was absolutely stunning, the hotel was excellent, and the staff were professional and welcoming. I also really enjoyed the local cuisine.

U need to carry ur luggage upstairs yourself.There is no lift.
Restaurants are less in vicinity.

We had a wonderful stay and exactly the peaceful getaway we were looking for. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, the breakfast offered plenty of delicious options, and the rooms had breathtaking views of Mount Kazbeg. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Kazbegi.

Everything was perfect! If you want to relax and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Kazbegi, this hotel is an excellent choice. The breakfast is delicious, with a great variety of fresh food. The reception team is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, bright, warm, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I have visited Kazbegi several times, and this is by far the best hotel I have chosen.
