We stayed at Tribe Phuket for 5 days, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.

During our stay, we had several issues with our room. The housekeeping was only good when one Thai staff member cleaned our room — after that, the standard dropped and the cleaning was no longer good.

The internet was also extremely bad and lagged a lot throughout our stay. Another major issue was the noise. The room was very poorly soundproofed, and we could hear too much from nearby rooms, which made it hard to relax and sleep.

On the 5th day, when we decided to extend our stay, we complained about all of these problems — the bad internet, the noise, and the poor housekeeping.

On the 6th day, the hotel moved us to a new room, room 629, and told us it would be better. Unfortunately, it was even worse.

Room 629 had:
- noise from the road / highway side,
- an air conditioner that did not work properly,
- a housekeeping service/storage area directly outside the room where staff were collecting things, making noise, banging, and causing echo,
- strong morning sun,
- a connecting door room, so we could hear everything from the next room.

Because of this, we could not sleep properly at all.

We called reception and explained everything, but the response we got was basically just “sorry.” That is simply not acceptable after we had already complained before.

What is most frustrating is that after explaining the problems clearly, we were moved to a room that was actually worse. That is not good service and shows a complete lack of problem-solving and care for guests.

Very disappointing experience overall.

Beautiful hotel!
Pros:

The hotel is exceptionally well maintained, with a modern yet welcoming atmosphere. The beds are on another level, easily the best I’ve ever experienced in any hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is outstanding. Breakfast is a must, and the half-board menu offers a great variety of options. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, it’s one of the best in Patong.

Cons:

When we arrived, our room wasn’t as clean as expected and they had to come and clean it again. The housekeeping could benefit from paying closer attention to detail.

Short but memorable
Pros:

Tribe had an awesome vibe with it checking all boxes I was looking for
Khun Raju , Cha Cha all frontline staff were brilliant
Food variety & quality great

Cons:

Had to leave too soon may a roof top pool with a view would be nicer

Nieuw hotel, netjes, alles werkt en goed design.
Pros:

Nieuw hotel, zeer netjes en mooi design. Goede gym. Fijn zwembad, maar wel alleen in de ochtend zon. Ligt op loopafstand van het strand, uitgaan. Smart TV op kamer. Ontbijt uitgebreid.

Cons:

Op de regeltjes, niet soepel of vriendelijk op de grenzen (fors bijbetalen als je eerder de kamer op wil dan formele inchecktijd). De omgeving rondom het hotel is een drukke weg, hoor je ook bij het zwembad, en er ligt een stuk braakliggend land omheen (ziet er net wat minder aantrekkelijk uit). Ligt net iets te ver van het strand om er gemakkelijk even heen te lopen.

A more quiet and good choice in Patong
Pros:

Location is great if you want to stay in Patong but not "in the middle of the action".
Both restaurants in the property cover a good choice of different cuisines without those overwhelming menus.
