Felt uneasy the whole stay
Pros:

It was close to where we need to be

Cons:

The lower 2floors were full of migrants and the receptionist said if we had been lone females they would have escorted us to our room for safety reasons

Hotel that houses homeless
Pros:

Clearly a Premier inn in the past, it was not too expensive, and the room was clean.

Cons:

I received an email saying it was dual branded, “The 'Belvilla Newport City Center.”
However something seems off, nowhere did I see the word Palette, and Google maps had it several doors away. Chatting to a fellow resident I discovered he was homeless and had been living there for 12 months. There was a closed bar area, and police attendance as I booked in. I tried to save money booking here and wish I hadn’t.

I wouldn’t rush back here it’s dirty and run down and expensive for what it is.

It is dirty and runs down plus very noisy due to pubs nearby

I would definitely stay there again
Pros:

The location was excellent. I didn't have breakfast at the Hotel. The room was very good, a nice size, friendly staff.

Cons:

The wardrobe was the only thing I didn't like. It had open sides which was a bit awkward.

Disappointing, can easily go somewhere cheaper that's much better
Pros:

It was centrally located which was good and the staff were welcoming.

Cons:

The room wasn't clean, dirt on the curtains, the chair and hair on the wall in the shower. The breakfast, was complementary which was nice but the actual breakfast wasn't up to par. lack of parking is an issue as well considering it mentions parking on the page but it is not their parking at all and just an NCP car park nearby. Also my rooms view was a white walled in column, I had no view to the outside and very little natural light with the small window at the top of the column

Very clean room. Good+ value. No-one at reception = 15 minutes waiting. dirty lifts and corridors

free tea and coffee in the room.

Cons:

had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to reception. tried several ways to contact them, buy no-one came.

corridors and lifts are dirty and run down. rubbish and food waste in lift. tomato sauce in corridor walls. filthy carpets.

very run down area outside the hotel, with rubbish bags left in the street. down+outs drinking cans of lager 2 metres from the hotel door

Pros:

Very central and lovely staff. Rooms clean and air conditioned. Double bed rather than king and a little firm for me but this is a matter of opinion rather than a criticism. Was lucky to have a comfortable single bed in room so I claimed that. Bath was high to step into for a shower and could be better if grab rails were installed. I would definitely stay there again.
