Book carefully and be prepared to be pampered
Pros:

The staff were amazing, truly exceptional. I walked up to reception to ask for help with the water heater (it wasn't working), and by the time I returned to the room a few minutes later, there was a mechanic there, already fixing it.
When deciding which villa to put us in, they also made sure we got one where the trees didn't block the view.
Also, on checkout day, when they saw me lugging the first of many suitcases up to the car park, they sent someone down to help my wife, so she didn't have to carry anything up the stairs.

There are a lot of stairs to get to the villas. Not a complaint, just an observation.
However...
Something I would love to see fixed is the naming of the different room options. There are rooms, cottages, villas, and one more I've forgotten the name of. This last one is the best in the entire resort. Pull the curtains, and see the Mon Bridge in all its glory. Little semi-detached buildings in the hillside. I thought I'd booked one of those,and only discovered my mistake when we were checking in. However, the staff were great and let us upgrade.

Besuch bei den Mon, an der Grenze zu Myanmar
Pros:

Gutes, reichhaltiges, abwechslungsreiches Frühstück mit möglichem Blick über die Mon Brücke.
Hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption. Die Buchung der Bootstour war hier mit 400 Bath für zwei Personen preiswerter als die üblichen 500 Bath. Auch die "Fütterung der Mönche" inkl. der passenden Kleidung zu je 100 Bath war super organisiert, sogar mit Transport zur Brücke und zurück.

Cons:

Die Matratzen sind extrem hart (Nebengebäude, Raum B3). Es fehlt ein Kleiderschrank. Dieser Teil des Hotels war alt und deutlich abgewohnt. Der Wärmeaustritt der Klimaanlage auf dem Balkon trifft genau die dortige Sitzgelegenheit.

De locatie maakt veel goed maar ze kunnen beter !
Pros:

De locatie is top en de medewerkers zijn super vriendelijk!

Cons:

Onderhoud laat de wensen wat over , blijkbaar zoals op vele plaatsen wordt er niet zo grondig gekuist .
Er zitten enkele bugs in het systeem om in te loggen op de wifi… men kon me niet helpen of er was niemand technisch die een oplossing kon bieden .
Hotel is niet geschikt voor mensen die niet goed te been zijn ( vele trappen ).

I find it amazing to find a hotel in the middle of a small village close to the Mylar
Pros:

Most of the breakfast items, including eggs and sausages are served cold. I think they do this so that the breakfast items remain moist but breakfast is kind of gross when served cold. The facility is in need of repair, clean up and a good scrubbing. The restaurant, the menu items and preparations need to be rethought to meet the needs of the guests. We thought the pool was lovely and probably one of the nicest attributes at this facility. Cleaning and fresh paint on the pool deck would be nice. The grounds are weedy , with stacks of construction materials all over. If you over the balcony it’s there is trash everywhere. The biggest asset here is the staff. They will jump hoops to make you comfortable. Amazing staff!

Am Wochenende ein Erlebnis
Pros:

Am Wochenende sind sehr viele thais als Touristen da und es ist sehr lebendig. Der Blick auf die Brücke ist fantastisch. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr gut. Das frühstücksbuffet ist sehr groß, allerdings überwiegend für Thais gedacht.

Cons:

Wir hatten das Glück, ein Bungalow direkt neben der Rezeption zu haben. Ansonsten muss man sehr viel den Berg hoch und runter steigen.

Vervallen hotel op een prachtige plek.
Pros:

De ligging met uitzicht op het meer en de brug is fantastisch. Personeel doet erg hun best en is vriendelijk.

Cons:

Wij hadden de standaard kamers. Erg veel geld voor wat je er voor terug krijgt. De kamers zijn oud, stucwerk op wanden en plafond hangt los, hoofdbord bed vol vieze vlekken. Het hele resort is erg oud, vervallen en sober. Ontbijt heel slecht. Gerechten die warm zouden moeten zijn lagen in bakken maar koud. Ontbijt vinden wij al snel goed hebben geen hoge eisen maar deze is wel erg slecht. Beter tosti halen bij 7-eleven in het stadje.
