Disappointing and terrible value for money

Very disappointing experience, especially considering the price. This hotel is extremely overpriced for what you actually get, and the level of service does not come close to what you would expect at this price point.

The biggest issue was the reception staff. The women at reception were consistently rude, unhelpful, and made simple requests feel like an inconvenience. For a hotel charging these rates, the lack of hospitality is unacceptable.

I do want to mention that the cleaning lady was very kind and pleasant, and the valet staff were also friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they were the exception.

Overall, terrible value for money. Sardinia has many beautiful hotels with much better service, and I would definitely choose somewhere else next time.

Lovely modern hotel with great rooms but not a 5* experience
Pros:

- modern, clean facilities. Especially the rooms are very modern compared to Italian standards
- intimate hotel with a lovely pool and breakfast area
- friendly staff
- close to shops and restaurants in Cannigione, which is a lovely, quaint town

Cons:

- very expensive bar and restaurant menu. A glass of champagne is €30, a prosciutto/melon salad €20
- the internet didn’t work in the rooms or by the pool, neither WiFi nor 5G. When I complained about this the manager of the reception was apologetic but unbothered. Usually 5* hotels will try to compensate for the inconvenience (esp when someone stays a week) through a small gesture like a glass of champagne on the house but they actually refused even when I asked for that
- there is no direct beach access but there is a very comfortable shuttle that will take you to their private beach section / deck

A luxurious and pleasant experience - warmly recommend
Pros:

It was an extremely delightful experience to stay at Grand Hotel Cannigione. From the second we arrived we felt we were in the best hands in beautiful surroundings. We particularly enjoyed the ease with which we were able tor reach the two beaches which were quite different, it was very luxurious to have lunch and aperitifs at the beaches, not to mention the wonderful swims. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was great.
