Bubblefish Water Villa

We stayed at Bubblefish as a family and had a wonderful experience in this absolutely beautiful place.

Bubblefish is, above all, a place you come to be amazed by the scenery… and what scenery! The setting is simply exceptional. Located around 25–30 minutes from the Semporna jetty, the resort is far enough away to be removed from the traffic, noise and crowds of the hotels closer to Semporna. With only eight rooms, the place retains a peaceful and intimate atmosphere, surrounded by nature.

And while the setting is flawless, the staff contribute enormously to making the experience even better. A real 10/10 for the whole team, with a very special mention for Alfad, and of course King as well. We also shared so many laughs with the whole team and with “The Boss”!

Honestly, they are all absolutely lovely, attentive and incredibly kind. Their warmth and good humour are truly part of the memories we will take away from our stay.

The experience and the exceptional beauty of the place ultimately make you overlook a few small points that could still be improved: we were only provided with two bath towels (no hand towels) throughout our entire stay, the room is not cleaned daily, the resort does not offer a transfer from the airport to Semporna, and breakfast could include a wider selection of fruit.

The meals offered are perfectly decent.

Despite these few details, we had a very enjoyable stay at Bubblefish. For us, it is above all a place you come for the setting, the tranquillity (even during karaoke nights — The Boss will understand! 🤭), and the experience, but also for the kindness of a team that truly makes a difference. 🤟🏻

The place is beautiful and all rooms are new and very clean. It is great value for money considering that everything is included and you can just jump anything and go snorkeling. Good was overall ok, dinners with fish were the best

It was a very fun stay even though we went there during rain season. The sand was white. Water was clear. The coral was not as vivid as I expected but it’s not too bad either. Many different fishes live there which I enjoyed watching while snorkeling.

Food was abundant and tasty. Coffee, tea, bottle water and other soft beverages were provided. Staff were especially friendly. We also bought some seafood from the locals living on boat. The resort cooked them for us with a small fee.

The staff was really nice and helpful. Everyone was polite and serviceminded.

We did a lot of snorkeling, fishing and paddleboarding. The helped every time with information about the current and equipment.

You could see the turtles in the evening when it was dark.

We stayed here 4 nights and we miss this beautifull place. Everything is amazing, i guess the best hight quality resort around Semporna, fantastic staff, very good food, very clean room. They offer a lot of tours too. During the snorkeling we saw a lot of tropical fishes, sting ray and a lot of turtles too. If you stay in Semporna and search for relax and maleysian hospitality is this the place to be.

lokalizacja, widok z okna - top! klimatyzacja w pokoju działa bardzo dobrze, łazienka przestronna. Miejsce jest magiczne, można oglądać z okna rybki i żółwie. Pod naszą siatką wieczorem przepłynął gigantyczny żółw! Można korzystać z padleboarda, przezroczystego kajaka, zestawów do snorkelingu. Jedzenie jest baaaardzo dobre. Obsługa super przyjazna.

All good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Private and cozy. The staff was always paying attention to the details and supporting the water activities for all guests. Meals were also a plus, always on time and good quality.

Really impressive stay from start to finish. The views are stunning and the whole place is incredibly quiet and peaceful, which makes it very easy to fully switch off. The room was beautiful - well designed, comfortable, and finished to a high standard. The food was also very good (Chinese style) and consistently well prepared. What stood out most was the team - King, Kang, and Andy are fantastic. They are warm, attentive, and genuinely care, which creates a very relaxed, family-like atmosphere while still being highly organised. We also did a reef dive which was excellent - very professional, smooth, and well run. Overall, everything feels thoughtfully managed. A true hidden gem and easily one of the best places in the area. Would definitely recommend.

An exceptional stay overall. The villa has a calm, well-curated ambience with beautiful, peaceful surroundings and outstanding views. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, very comfortable, and finished to a high standard. The food is consistently very good (Chinese style). What truly sets this place apart is the team - King, Kang, and Andy are excellent. Warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, they create a relaxed, family-like atmosphere while keeping everything very well organised. We also did a reef dive which was a highlight - highly professional, smooth execution, and excellent service throughout. The entire experience feels considered and well run. A genuine hidden gem, and notably better than other villas in the area. Strongly recommend.

Prachtige locatie midden in zee, je hoeft hier niet weg om tours te doen. Snorkelspullen zijn gratis te leen en padelboard kan je huren.

El mejor hotel que he estado en mi vida, todo ha sido espectacular. El personal, la comida, el lugar, la habitación… todo maravilloso! Lo súper recomiendo.
